CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — A space-shuttle worker fell to his death yesterday from a launching pad.
The NASA contractor, whose identity was not released, fell at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 7:40 a.m. while working. Medics rushed to the pad but were unable to revive him.
Work on the space shuttle Endeavour was suspended for the day, said NASA spokesman Allard Beutel.
