I know how this is going to sound, but watching the endless procession of “ER” alums make their way back to County General for a final victory lap this year — Dr. Carter was the last one, last night — I am more and more grateful that Henry Blake was allowed to go out the way he did, with dignity, over the Sea of Japan. Come on. You feel the same way. Admit it.

The best thing I can ever say about a basketball player is this: I would watch them play all day. I would watch Kobe play all day. Same with LeBron. And as much of a treat as those kind of day-long adventures with be, neither make me as happy as watching Chris Paul play. CP3, I could watch all week.
