In Custo’s world, there’s no such thing as OTT (over the top). While most of this collection belonged strictly on this Spanish label’s strobe-lit runway, it offered up a much-needed breath of fresh air.
Between the peacock feathers, beaded cap sleeves, leopard prints, stripes, hot pink sequin swing skirts (our fave), hits of shiny chevron and a bevy of rosette-embellished blouses, it was hard to believe that this season was inspired by the “rich pigments of the earth.”
Not that that’s a bad thing – after an afternoon of low-key, commercial runway shows, we were more than happy to indulge in the explosion of textures stomping down the carpeted runway.
Current Playboy cover girl Aubrey O’Day oohed and ahhed over loads of looks, while her pink-dyed pooch behaved itself after a drama queen-esque barking meltdown pre-show.
Now, if we could find a way to snag those gold sequined leggings, our fall wardrobe would be complete.
