Miss at your own risk: ‘Rehab’

Highlights for the week of Oct. 20

Bases loaded

What better way to warm up for the Wednesday opener of the World Series, than with A&E’s special, “Jose Canseco: Last Shot“? The “Baseball Rehab” batters up on Monday.

Tune in

The musical spectrum is covered Thursday. The day starts off with “High School Musical’s” Ashley Tisdale visiting Regis and Kelly. That evening, the Hip Hop Awards are on BET, and “Johnny Cash’s America” premieres on the Biography Channel. And late night offerings include punk band Cold War Kids on Craig Ferguson.

Last laughs

SNL Weekend Update Thursday” takes a final bow this week. Can it recover from last week’s snorefest to finish strong?

Back in ‘Rehab’

Last season’s guilty pleasure, “Celebrity Rehab,” returns to VH1 on Thursday. Dr. Drew brings now-famous-because-of-rehab Jeff Conaway, who could probably use a couple more days in detox, along with Rodney King, a former “American Idol” contestant, and the standard has-been models and musicians. Gary Busey joins them as a “life coach.”

Saturday night in Vegas

What’s more fun than a campy Saturday night Lifetime movie? “Sex & Lies in Sin City” is based on the true story of a casino mogul who got whacked by his stripper girlfriend.

Don of a new age

Mad Men” second season finale is Sunday. And if that’s too long of a wait, star Jon Hamm is the host of “Saturday Night Live.”
