Sept. 27 – Nicole Touzalin and Shawn Heinze couldn’t get enough of each other on their very first date. The 12-hour meeting included Bloody Marys at Union Square Café, a trip to a comic book store, a stop at a wine bar and a first kiss in a cab on the way home. “I didn’t really want it to end,” says Touzalin, a graphic designer for Macy’s. Five years later, the Bayside, Queens, couple enjoyed an autumn-inspired ceremony and reception at The Woodlands historical mansion in Woodbury, Long Island. Pumpkins, gourds and leaves decorated the candlelit room where 150 guests celebrated with Touzalin and Heinze, a planner also at Macy’s. The newlyweds then set off on a 10-day trip to Canada, where they hiked and swam in the hot springs of Banff and explored Old Montreal.
