‘SEX’ BACK IN THE CITY

Carrie Bradshaw reunited with Mr. Big yesterday – making out on the Upper East Side – as filming began on the long-awaited “Sex and the City” movie.

And Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Big (Chris Noth) looked very much in love as they shot the scene on Fifth Avenue and 85th Street.

The producers are getting filming permits in the Big Apple each week to keep paparazzi guessing about their schedule.

Today, they’ll be at 70th Street and Lexington Avenue, sources said.

The film version of the hugely successful HBO series had been shelved for years because Kim Cattrall, who played sex-crazed Samantha Jones, was said to be holding out for more money.

“It was never going to be made without all four girls – it just couldn’t have been,” said a source working on the film. “Kim wanted more money and in the end, everyone came to an agreement.”

Eventually, all four co-stars, Cattrall, Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, signed on.

Fans who religiously tuned in Sunday nights from 1998 to 2004 – following Carrie’s relationships with her three best girlfriends, Samantha, Charlotte (Davis) and Miranda (Nixon), and her rocky love affair with commitment-phobe Big – were left hanging.

When the series ended, Big, now known as John, and Carrie fell back in love, but didn’t get engaged. However, Page Six learned that in the film, he’ll pop the question – armed with a “big, original” ring designed just for her.
