MAN LONGS FOR AMMON HOME

While the Ammon house will forever be known as an infamous murder scene, a relative of one of the original owners would like to buy it for nostalgic reasons.

Manhattanite Adam Brecht, whose family sold the East Hampton property to Ted and Generosa Ammon in 1992, says he’d like to buy the murder mansion back should it ever become available.

Brecht, 37, says his now-deceased aunt, Mrs. Thomas Beardsley, sold the mansion to the Ammons.

“I’d like to have the house back as a way of recapturing my family history,” says the public-relations executive, “despite the tragedy of the house.”
