‘IDOL’ JUDGES SACK MATT

PUT a fork in Matt Rogers because he’s done.

The husky former football player from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., was eliminated last night on “American Idol.”

His exit leaves 10 finalists on the red-hot Fox talent show.

“You blew it,” the show’s tart-tongued judge, Simon Cowell, said to Rogers just moments before Rogers received the bad news from host Ryan Seacrest.

Cowell was referring to Rogers’ performance the previous evening, when the 11 remaining finalists were challenged to sing country songs.

Cowell felt the beefy, likable Rogers and country music should have been a natural fit, but after the performance, Cowell said Rogers came up short. Viewers agreed, and voted Rogers off the show.

Two other contestants – Diana DeGarmo, 16, of Snellville, Ga., and Camile Velasco, 18, of Maui, Hawaii – joined Rogers in the show’s “Bottom 3.”
