BABY GRAND: MOMS-T0-BE DON’T HAVE TO BE FASHION FLOPS

When she got pregnant with her first child, Liza Elliott thought her modeling career was over.

“I’d been modeling for over 20 years, and I was working a lot,” she says, “but once I got pregnant, it got a lot harder. On commercial shoots, I’d outgrow clothes from day to day.”

Elliott, now 32, decided to play up her pregnancy and a few months after her first baby was born, she founded a modeling agency for pregnant women.

Two years later, Expecting Models is the agency of choice for Gap Maternity, Liz Lange Maternity, Pumpkin Maternity, and Fit Pregnancy and Parenting magazines.

“The industry needed a place where they can do one-stop shopping,” Elliott says. “Now all they have to do is go to our web site and start casting.”

Models are listed on the expectingmodels.com site in order of due date. And since the pregnant body changes from day to day, Elliott updates each model’s listing regularly.

Expecting employs pros and novices alike. “I’m a walking solicitor,” Elliott says. “Anywhere I see a beautiful pregnant woman, I go after her.”

Here, three mannequins from Expecting Models show off the hottest maternity clothes perfect for the pregnant-but-sexy woman who wants to flaunt her assets.
