TRAVELER’S UPDATE

Birds fly north

As Montreal settles into winter, the Museum of Fine Arts is heating up with “Hitchcock and Art: Fatal Coincidences.” The show explores the conscious and subconscious connections between art and iconography in the master director’s films, and highlights subsequent inspirations provided to late 20th-century artists. A full Hitchcock retrospective (silent included) will be presented in conjunction with the Cinematheque Quebecoise. The show runs through the spring, when it moves to the Pompidou Center in Paris; (514) 285-1600, http://www.mmfa.qc.ca.
