Reports have been made on two generalized thirdorder digital controllers designed around the last two techniques, one using a special-purpose computer, and the other using a combination of digital and analog techniques. Two mathematical formulations of the transfer function of a digital controller exist, called the direct form and the canonical form. In both designs, the canonical form is used. This form calls for the solution of the two equations

Previously, the stimulus pulse charged the input circuitry of the front-end amplifier with an amplitude much greater than the biological signal desired. To address this problem a blanking period was introduced which disables the amplifiers for the duration of the superthreshold stimulus pulse. As a result of this process, electrical activity can be measured almost immediately after the superthreshold stimulus pulse without distortion

One of major issues on oriental medicine is to clarify effects and substances of a vital energy c... more One of major issues on oriental medicine is to clarify effects and substances of a vital energy called as 'Qi(Ki) '. 'Qi(Ki) ' is a flow of the vital energy which is channeled via Kyung-rak in the structure of the human body. The oriental medicine says that when the flow of the vital energy is blocked, a health is lost. The oriental medicine recovers the health by controlling the flow of the vital energy with acupuncture. Spots responded to a disease is the Kyung-hyul on the Kyung-rak. The Kyung-rak is a meridian of a medical treatment by acupuncture. This study is intended to measure changes of the flow of the vital energy in connection with changes of current capacity through measuring the current change of the Kyung-hyul by impressing DC voltage. The change of the vital energy flow was indirectly expressed by measuring the changes of the body current on the physical change of the body before and after the meal among physical environmental changes. For it, an experiment was conducted for the above physical changes. As the result of the study, healthy persons showed a regular change of the body current pattern before and after the meal. On the other hand, the pattern of unhealthy persons current changes was very different from the pattern of health person's current changes.

Karnaugh maps, and in which both design time and the probability of error increase rapidly with the number of input and feedback lines. In the CAD program, written for sequential circuits, use of clocked D-type flip-flops for the memory greatly simplifies the design of the combinational, or gate, part of the network. Input data are derived from a state table. Use of the program to design a digital controller for a city traffic light at the intersection of a main thoroughfare, and a side street is described in detail.

In many applications processing samples rapidly to reduce testing costs is a goal. In this study, we examine the impact of eliminating the sensor cleaning step that is customarily inserted between measurements. We have found that cleaning the sensors does improve classification accuracy, but not significantly in some cases. Future studies to characterize optimal operating sequences for E-Nose devices are planned

Starting with the state table for the machine, the state minimization and state assignments are performed. The minimized Boolean functions for next state and output circuits for a D-flip flop implementation of the circuit are generated.
