London and England in general are worldwide known for “the fog”. But after living almost 5 years in London I found that fames not to be that true. We have the drizzle yes, the grey days yes, but fog? Not that often. And when we do, I find to be thin and by the time you had your morning coffee, it’s gone.

I have a thing with fog. Not sure where this fascination comes from, but love it and I love taking photos foggy landscape. So on those rare days that we get proper thick fog, I tried to take advantage of it.

The Day I Got Out in Pyjamas for a Photo

It was November 2020 when I woke up one morning to a thick fog surrounding our area. It was a rare case where I couldn’t see across the road. Beautiful!

Lucky for me, our apartment is just a 2-minute walk from Barnes Common, a largest zone of protected common land. You really don’t feel you are in a big city when you walk through this park. I immediately thought that with the wilderness and the fog, I could make some nice photos.

However, usually by the time I took a shower and got ready for work, the fog would have dissolved. So I did what every other rational person will do: I grabbed my camera, put my coat and shoes on and…
