The Reggae Operation (Megamix Engine)
A downloadable fangame for Windows
The Reggae Operation is a short four stage Mega Man fangame made in the Megamix Engine, an awesome tool for making non-commercial Mega Man games in Game Maker Studio.
One day, stuck and bored at home in Roboenza quarantine, Dr. Wily discovers to his horror that Dr. Light is performing new and exciting research on Guts Man technology. Unwilling to see his favorite robot master "tarnished", infiltrate the facility wherein the research is underway. But with extensive ground defenses that make a normal attack difficult, the doctor is forced to undertake desperate measures.... and to modify his crotchety robot bird, Reggae, into a fighting machine. Can he pull off this very special mission and make Dr. Wily proud?
Fly with Reggae through four stages of arcade action, defeating complex bosses and using unique weapons! And please, read the readme.

The soundtrack is a variety of Sega Genesis music created by me. You can find some of the tracks on my bandcamp.
I created the music in DefleMask tracker.
All characters and most of the art copyright Capcom. This fangame is meant to show my love and appreciation for their works and characters, and is not meant to compete with them in any way.

Install instructions
This should be a standalone installer, so it'll run fine if you just click it. Fellow Linux users, it runs fine for me in Wine on Ubuntu 18.04, so please try that.
Because it's stored as a .7z, you'll need to use 7zip to extract it.

Absolutely buck-wild action setpieces, a joy to play from start to finish, and rewarding to engage with closely through challenge runs and the like. This is the most fun I've had with an action game this year.
