G-DRAGON

The innovative and charismatic South Korean rapper, singer and producer G-Dragon has been called “The King of K-Pop”. After finding fame as a child star, G-Dragon became a member of the hugely successful K-pop boy band BIGBANG, where he developed his reputation as an avant-garde rapper-singer. • G-Dragon’s 2009 debut album, Heartbreaker, marked the beginning of an eclectic solo career. His 2013 sophomore LP, Coup d'Etat, topped the charts in South Korea and cracked the Billboard 200. • The multi-faceted artist infuses his colourful, boisterous music with a wry sense of humor, impactful raps and his larger-than-life persona. He’s spent much of his solo career ruminating on life and his celebrity identity. • Prior to taking a break from the spotlight to fulfill his mandatory South Korean military service, G-Dragon released 2017’s Kwon Ji Yong, an introspective EP that explores the man behind the dragon.
