Geoffrey O'Connor

Melbourne, Australia-based synth pop revivalist Geoffrey O'Connor started making his own breed of glassy, neon dance hits sometime around 2009. Producing his own songs and playing/programming a wide variety of vintage drum machines, synthesizers, and other instruments, he crafted a world of sound leaning heavily on the futuristic visions of the darkest new wave and synth pop acts of the '80s. Debut album Vanity Is Forever materialized in 2011, and the record spawned several online remix EPs. O'Connor issued tracks online in the interim between albums, and returned full-force in 2014 with sophomore set Fan Fiction. On 2021's For as Long as I Can Remember, he paired with an impressive cast of female duet partners to create a timeless heartbreak classic.
