Escape Rooms With The Narrator - Chapter 1
A downloadable game for Windows
Hello, Player(s).
I'm the game narrator, but you can call me... the Narrator!
This here game has a lot of escape rooms that you can absolutely complete with MY help. I would never lie to you... right?
Escape Rooms With The Narrator is a meta, psychological horror, first-person indie puzzle game inspired by games like Portal, The Stanley Parable, and Fran Bow.
You have to complete puzzles that are semi-based in wacky physics through various escape rooms, all under the watchful Eye(s) of the (very, very intelligent and handsome) Narrator.
Ever since he was born into this endless void, I've been... I mean... He's been all alone. It's been a long time.
So, c'mon Player... I think we're gonna have a lot of fun. (:

This was absolutely so fun!! I cannot wait for Chapter 2 thank you for creating this masterpiece!!
Are there any jumpscares?
There are a few, though I'm not sure how much you'd like me to spoil them.
Hey, thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it :D
I love it, i can´t wait for the chapter two 100/10 👌
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it! :D
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Implementing that was a bit confusing, so I'm glad it enhanced the experience. Thank you for playing! (:
Okay, so in the second room of the first chapter (the one right after the kitchen), I can cheat by rotating the locked painting to the side with the q or e keys.
EDIT:
Not only is it hard to open the treasure chest in the riddle roomNVM, just need to turn riddle mode off, but the "friend"'s jumpscare genuinely got me!ANOTHER EDIT: Turns out that tilting the painting is necessary, since I can't rotate it when the bottom two locks are on it!
Hey man, thanks for the bug reports! (; Sometimes things like this are so specific that it's hard for me to find all the bugs. Glad you enjoyed the game and hope the "friend's" jumpscare didn't scare you TOO much! XD Also, thanks for checking the game out!
After completed the first chapter of the game, I was amazed at how it was able to incorporate escape rooms along with the ability of the creator to create a tense mood and atmosphere when fear strikes during the end stage for Chapter 1. The entire experience was immersive and strongly driven by the plot of the game. The ending made me even more curious and interested to what would be coming next in terms of story and escape rooms.
Thank you for reading my comment and I will definitely be looking forward to the next Chapter of the game. :)
Hey man, glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for covering it on your Youtube channel! Good luck with growing your channel (:
you gosh darn son of a fiddle playing, hornswaggling fipple fopper. you did it agaim
Indeed I did...
I really like escape rooms and horror games so when I saw this game, I knew I had to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint. The existence of the Narrator seemingly innocent and helping the main character to get through the puzzles and rooms was definitely an amazing idea as it definitely changes the way the player has to conquer the puzzles. The game makes use of a variety of game mechanics that I would like other players to try them out themselves but I really enjoyed the game, the voice acting and the unique game mechanics.
I have been stuck in the chapter 1 section where I have already unlocked both cages, gotten 2 keys and seen the 3 numbers behind the pictures but I have no clue how to progress from there. If I am supposed to open the safe, I have no idea how to do so either as I don't have all 4 numbers so it would be cool if I could get some help. Hence, my current video only features the part before I got stuck and I have played the game for an hour XDDDD.
I will be looking forward to the next chapters of the game and it will be really interesting to see how the creator will take the game to the next level and unravel the horrors and secrets behind the Narrator and the secret helper that has been helping the main character throughout the game.
Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.
Hey man, I glad you enjoyed the game! Also, great video (:
Not to spoil anything, but have you tried taking a look at the shelves in the level?
I have tried looking at the shelves but I don't seem to spot anything ;-;
Not a neon green key?
I have spotted the neon green key but I am unable to get the key after getting the 2 keys from the 2 cages as I assume that I am missing the 3rd key.
Well, it seems the Narrator moves the key away. Anything you can try to do to stop that
awesome possum :DDD
:D
