I’ll be running this ongoing contest, the details will be listed after I reintroduce myself.
First, let me introduce myself to those who have never met or heard before.
My name is Bin Jiang (江斌), the order is opposite in Chinese so Jiang (江) means river and Bin (斌) we have to split this word into two to get the full meaning. It is composed of “文” and “武”. In ancient times, “文” means one with full knowledge. “武” means one force, martial art, or sometimes one with good health.
Yet, from my parent's time, it means you get both good of being well knowledge and abilities. Well, their highest education was middle school, so this name was most likely suggested by someone.
I grew up on a small island called Langqidao in Fuzhou, China, where there are rivers, farmlands, some hills, and a simple life there. I don’t know all the details as I left there for the US when I was 5 or 6.
I have two birthdays or to be correct I don’t know which is my actual birthday. The one on the passport is mostly wrong at the time being registered.
