In the quiet of our own company, we find the strength to say ‘No’ and the courage to live a life that’s truly our own.

We walk a tightrope of obligations,
A balancing act through life’s crowded circus.
Every step, a nod to the demands of others,
To the rhythm of a drum that isn’t our own.
We dance to the beat of expectations,
A choreography of shoulds and musts,
Leaving little room for the tender whispers of the heart.

Trapped in the carousel of commitments,
We spin in circles, chasing a life we didn’t choose.
The weight of duty, like chains around our ankles,
Tugs us back, away from the horizon of our dreams.
Families, friends, society — all eyes upon us,
Their gaze a silent plea for conformity,
A script handed down, roles assigned,
Each line a boundary drawn in the sand.

But in the midst of this storm,
There lies a stillness, a quiet truth.
A voice within that softly speaks,
“Take a step back, breathe…
