Lately, I’ve been working on my self-concept which has included both working on my mindset as well as my physical health. It all started when I realised that I prioritised my time, energy and resources in areas that didn’t actually value what I had to offer (relationships, for example). As it slowly took a toll on my self-esteem I decided that I no longer want to engage in those areas, and re-focused on pouring that energy and love into myself instead.

Before I started this journey, I had been an active participant in putting myself at the bottom of my own priority list. When that realisation came to mind, I made the decision to change. I felt as though I was no longer an active participant in creating the life that I see myself having, which left me to fate. That wasn’t how I was going to allow myself to go through life, and so I can now say after a short year of having made myself a priority, that I have changed for the better. Although I’m still a work in progress, there are practical tips that can help you get a few steps closer.

By making some changes in my daily routine I didn’t just experience a physical shift, but also improved my mindset and approach to all aspects of my life. A few weeks into my new routine, I started to see the shifts and it led me…
