Katie couldn’t believe she was going to do this. Tonight, she was going to tell Brantly how she felt.
They’d been neighbors since they were in diapers, and he was one of her closest friends. The only problem was that Katie was shy, as in never dated, and Brantly was at the top of the food chain in their high school senior class.
Katie knew Brantly’s schedule by heart, and tonight, he was at work delivering pizza. He got off at nine, so guess what Katie was having for dinner. She even did her hair and make-up.
Katie answered the door as soon as the doorbell rang.
“Oh, hey, Luke, I thought Brant was working tonight.”
Luke handed Katie her pizza box. “Yeah, last delivery, it was either you or Brianna; Brant gave me this stop so he could hook up with Bri.”
And, another teenage heart gets broken.
