Stop Waiting to Live Your Life

Seize the present and make it work

“When I lose ten pounds, then I’ll be happy.”

“When I get that job I want, then things will really start to turn around for me.”

“If I only had more money, things would be a lot easier and I could have everything I want.”

These are all things I’ve said before. Excuses for inaction, for my poor attitude, for my shortcomings and failures. Some of them might sound familiar to you, too.

But my favorite thing to do is to blame my stagnant life on “bad timing.”

“It’s not the right time for me to change jobs now, even though I hate the one I have.”

“I can’t move to another state even though I don’t like it here anymore. It’s bad timing. I have too much going on.”

You get the picture.

But what if I told you “bad timing” isn’t a real thing or a legitimate excuse for anything?

“Bad timing” isn’t a real thing

There’s no such thing as perfect timing, right timing, or good timing. There’s just “timing.” There’s the time when things happen, and it’s not good or bad. It just is.
