At ConsciousEd, we believe education is the biggest problem in the world. Because education is the lever that moves all other levers. A good education provides an individual with the tools they need to succeed at whatever endeavour they tackle in life. If you give someone the right skills and mindset, there’s no limit to what they could achieve. They could be the next Bill Gates or Elon Musk.

But how much do you really remember from school? How many facts and figures that you were forced to memorise can you recall off the top of your head? Our guess is not many.

What our schools fail to teach is the life skills you really need to succeed: effective communication, emotional intelligence, resilience, self-knowledge, money management, and entrepreneurship.

Where do we learn these skills? We can plunge into the deep end and flail around until we figure out how to stay afloat. But, more importantly, we learn these skills from reading and listening to those who have done it before.

“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”- Groucho Marx

We don’t learn from things that are spoon-fed to us. We learn from the things we chase ourselves, the times we direct our own learning.

That’s why we are reaching out to the community, to you. We want to hear the stories of your lives, the personal lessons you received not from sitting in a classroom for 6 hours a day, but the ones you received from trying, succeeding and failing in the real word. We want to hear how you overcame the greatest obstacles in your path, so readers can face their own obstacles armed with the collective knowledge of those around the world.

Our new publication, Nuggets of Wisdom, aims to be a place where readers can go to learn from these stories and seek out the pieces that will aid in their transformation into the best versions of themselves.
