Sandria Green-Stewart
Sandria is a senior year Ph.D. candidate whose areas of studies include the Atlantic World with emphasis on the post-slavery Caribbean and the British Empire including Modern Britain and Colonial Africa as minor areas of studies. The focus of her dissertation is on Health and Empire, particularly examining the role of women as practitioners of health and healing traditions in post-slavery Jamaica, 1865-1920. Other areas of studies include gender and society, immigration and labour, health and medical histories, peace and popular culture. Sandria has worked in coordination and management of community health care in Toronto, with a focus on service delivery to persons with physical disabilities and seniors.
