The nights on Mars are long and hard as the crimson wind gusts and blows...

Yet in the bar, between the yarns, there's truth if you listen close.

Travel to the distant future of the Martian frontier!

Greedy Corps control the red planet, their avaricious plunder and lassoed asteroid mining hindering terraforming as they economically milk the captive colonists - who will stand up to these Czars of cash? You may just find yourself recruited for the job...in between running from the Loan Ranger and the debts you owe!

This is an interactive fiction game with light timing-based point and click mechanics focused around a single minigame, created for the Minigame a Month jam.

I saw your game on tumblr and decided to check it out cause of the sick visuals and space western vibes. I was really impressed with the writing - my favorite part was when you could change the adjectives describing yourself to create your character. It was super creative! But like some other people here, I got stuck on the shooting part of Issue #4. It seems like the game registers all of my shots as misses.

Thank you so much for checking this out - I'm surprised to see I'm floating around Tumblr!  I have updated the shooting to be easier but this sounds like I need to tweak it more! Thank you for the great feedback and I'll work on the mechanics more!

Hi, I was having a chat with you on Reddit the other day and decided to check out your game. It's so beautiful! I really love the style. I did find the all-caps a bit hard to read at first. It goes nicely with the comic book style and i did get used to it eventually, but if you can it might be a good idea to offer a font choice. I like how you incorporated letting the player choose their name and appearance, and the world is fascinating. I also liked the large choice of companions- lots of replay value! I unfortunately got stuck on a shooting section too- the one in issue 5 with the wind blowing from the west. i think it's a really cool project overall.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I like the idea of multiple fonts and will add that when I update the game. The shooting mechanic definitely needs improvement.

Thanks for playing!

Oh! You found a bug. The narrative text should be a different font (see the screenshot for PC version). I'll go investigate that. Were you playing on mobile?

Ah, I see what you mean. I was playing on a Mac. There can be some weird quirks between different platforms! I'll give the game another try tomorrow with the new changes :)

Hi! I've updated the font and adjusted the shooting mechanic to be much easier. A full play through should be easy now!

I did another playthrough and it all worked properly with the new changes. Very cool little game! I didn't think to take a screen shot, but I think with the boulder in Issue 5 the game was telling me to aim right when I should have been aiming left? I got through and didn't have too much trouble with the later minigames. The Mars/Wild West setting is super fun and I was also really impressed with the music.

I'll check out that shot in issue 5. Thanks for giving it a play. I'll pass on the compliments to the musician!

I liked the premise and the art is quite pretty. I got stuck trying to shoot the object in the sky in issue 4. No matter how much power I gave it, it told me to try again.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to work on improving that core part of the gameplay!

I've updated the shooting mechanic to be much easier, if you wanted to give it another go!
