Matheus Maty (sic nomine primordiali, sed Anglice Matthew Maty; natus iuxta Ultraiectum anno 1718; mortuus 1776), medicus et biographus, qui gradus philosophiae doctoris et medicinae doctoris Academiae Lugduno-Batavae anno 1740 meruit. Londini ab anno 1741 officium medici implevit; eodem tempore fuit editor libellorum litterariorum Hagae annis 1750-1755 sub titulo Journal britannique divulgatorum. Ab anno 1751 fuit socius Regalis Societatis Londiniensis, cuius societatis fuit secretarius principalis ab anno 1765. Bibliothecarius principalis Musei Britannici meruit ab anno 1772 usque ad 1776.
