The first term is standards. A standard is a generic term that has many dimensions, but all of them have a single motive that is to satisfy the consumer and set a common methodology that can be followed internationally anywhere which makes life easier to a greater extent. Another motive of standard is the second term that has to be explained, that is trust. Standards do build trust among the customers and assures them efficient services, safe products and helps in building up customers' confidence regarding any perspective of trade, technology, the manufacture of goods and supply of goods globally in a systematic manner and management. The next question arises that how these standards are implemented? There are various standards that are being followed and implemented all over the world which includes ISO, IEC, IDS, IFS, ITU etc. These standards are being regulated and amended very often since years and sustain for a specified period of time. The standards are then accredited by accreditation bodies round the globe. We can consider these bodies to somewhat third parties in this chain of standard implementation. The purpose of accreditation body is to ensure that those certification bodies that are accredited by them are competent and have the authority to inspect, audit, test and most importantly they have the ability certify industries. Once a certification body is accredited, then it has the dominance to certify their clients in the line of a particular standard for which it had performed audits. This certification gives a guarantee or instills trust among consumers that the certified client is working in accordance with the set clauses of the standards. Every country has their accreditation body. Pakistan's accreditation body is PNAC or Pakistan National Accreditation Council. PNAC provides accreditation to testing and calibration bodies, certification bodies, inspection bodies and medical labs. PNAC accredited bodies include SGS, RI&CA, BVC, PHDA etc. PSQCA received accreditation from CAN in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020:2012. This whole procedure of standard formation to standard implementation is the key emphasis that standards do build trust in any field of life, though they are telecommunication codes, setting up an industry, trades and businesses, quality assurance, Halal certifications, food safety etc. Standards completely satisfy humanity for continual growth and prosperity in a safe and healthy environment. It also makes them trustworthy that their imported food intake or beverages are completely safe and hazard free. This in turn secures them from any sort of health diseases and risks of failure. Standards instill trust by making industries competent, providing consumer a uniform experience and commits long life satisfaction in providing best quality goods and services.
