The Covid-19 pandemic, which started in China and spread all over the world in a short while has led to problems like social, psychological, economic, etc, in addition to posing a life threat. Although the "stay at home" calls and other restrictions posed by the states to protect public health have positively affected the course of the disease, it has brought about a series of problems and an increase in already existing problems. Children's safety risk, the increased probability of encountering domestic violence and abuse crimes are among the problems. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the reasons for the increasing security risks of children due to the pandemic in the social-psychological framework. Based on the literature, it is stated that, in addition to the violence and abuse that children experience, both the crimes that children witnessed and the effect of the pandemics have increased. As a kind of side effect of the measures taken to protect from the disease during the Covid-19 process, it seems that the security risks faced by children and the violations of rights they suffer through being victimized have increased at the global level. In this, the increased time spent at home with people who are prone to violence; the closure of institutions that offer the opportunity to be away from home such as school, and the disruptions in accessing other services; reasons such as the reflection of the stress on the family members who are weaker than themselves can be effective. To reduce the security risks for the children in question and to prevent further victimization, states should take various measures and seek solutions.

Crime, a universal phenomenon, is seen more in modern societies than in traditional ones. The fact that change has slowed down in today's world brings along various problems. One of most important of these problems is the increase in crime rates. As crime rates increase in society, fear of crime also increases in parallel. Fear of crime is described as the social and psychological cost of crime. The fear of crime and crime plays an important role in the unsatisfactory feeling of trust, which is one of the most basic needs for man. It is possible to say that the fear of crime is at least as important as the crime phenomenon itself. In this context, firstly, the reasons behind the fear of crime should be revealed. In this study, it is tried to reveal the fear of crime and the factors that cause it in the theoretical framework. In addition, individual factors such as age, gender, status and income, which are thought to cause fear of crime, are also emphasized, as well as social factors including insecurity, space, media and urban life. Communities want to minimize crime rates to ensure their integrity. However, it is not always possible to minimize crime rates. When crime rates increase, the sense of trust in the society decreases and insecurity begins to prevail. This causes communication and trust problems in the society. Today, it has been noticed how important the healthy communication network developed based on trust is in social integration. For this reason, in the study, it was aimed to draw attention to the importance of the subject and to shed light on those who will conduct studies on the subject, based on the literature on fear of crime.
