The Product Integrity (PI) team manages the safety and compliance of products sold or distributed with Disney brands, characters, and other intellectual property. Our global team of engineers and safety professionals ensures products meet statutory, regulatory, and Disney’s own product safety requirements.
As a Product Integrity Engineer/Analyst, you will support product compliance activities across global retail categories. You will review products, packaging, and labeling for compliance, partner with business segments and suppliers, and act as a technical resource to ensure products are safe, compliant, and aligned with Disney’s high standards. This role requires strong analytical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business units.
You Will:
As a Product Integrity Engineer/Analyst, you will:
Perform design and safety reviews for assigned product categories.
Review packaging and labeling for language content, safety, and regulatory issues.
Provide timely disposition of testing reports, communicating results clearly to stakeholders.
Partner with testing laboratories and suppliers to ensure appropriate testing and compliance.
Track and analyze product incident data to identify trends and address issues.
Build effective working relationships with Disney business segment partners worldwide.
Act as a technical resource for Disney Sourcing, Brand Merchandising, Central Creative, and suppliers.
Partner with internal Guest Relations to investigate and resolve product concerns.
You Will Have:
Knowledge of international consumer product safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present clearly to diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook; Salesforce experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of consumer product compliance experience.
Experience across multiple product categories and global distribution regions.
Professional certifications in product safety or compliance
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Technology (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Textiles, Physics, Microbiology, Chemical, Manufacturing, Materials, Industrial) or equivalent work experience.
Additional Information
This role reports to the Manager, Product Integrity and is based in California. Workload is determined by assigned product categories, with a mix of independent tasks and collaborative team efforts. The PI team meets regularly to address issues, share knowledge, and ensure consistency across the global business.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $78,200.00 to $104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
