About the Role & Program:
The D23 Event Marketing Intern will support event production, communications, project management, and marketing, including drafting event articles, participating in meetings, creating presentations, assisting with event planning, interacting with guests, and supporting event staff.
What You Will Do:
The D23 Event Marketing Intern will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work directly with the team who produces and markets D23 events. You’ll work successfully on teams and independently with minimal direction, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to and understand:
- Communications: Assist in drafting and researching articles, event communications and recaps. Create presentations for both internal and external functions. Play a key role in event marketing, from social to ticketing roll-out. Help in creating, setting up, and fulfilling event surveys.
- Project Management: Coordinate team meetings and agendas, managing master event calendar, track production milestones, and regularly update event documents based on team input.
- Event Support: From assisting with brainstorming and master planning to creating run-of-show documents, to on-site operations such as interacting with guests and overseeing select areas of operation (e.g., check-in.)
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Able to work a flexible event schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Knowledge and genuine interest in full portfolio of The Walt Disney Company’s past, present and future including films, animation, television and theme parks
- Capability to work on multiple projects in a positive, pro-active manner with an attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational and follow-through skills, ability to uphold a professional business image and presentation of excellence through professional dress, written and oral presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Extremely comfortable working in Google Suite, Keynote, designing quality, in-depth presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and deep knowledge of Disney’s history, brands, processes and culture
- Previously completed an internship within the entertainment industry and/or experience working in hospitality, event planning, project/program management or marketing/membership
- Advanced writing and editing experience
- Knowledge of digital online tools such as WordPress & SmartSheet
- Design, event, and production experience
Education:
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Event, Hospitality Management, Communications, Marketing, or related major field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 – June 2026
- Candidate should be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
- This internship is currently in the office Monday through Thursday and work from home on Fridays, with occasional nights and weekends for events, subject to change without notice
- Able to provide own housing and transportation for work in the Glendale, CA area

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
