Each shipyard offers variable pricing for ship repair, mainly if the work is performed on different islands, in Java and outside of Java. By understanding the differences in ship repair costs between shipyards in Java and those outside of Java and the factors that influence these discrepancies, a ship owner can choose a repair shipyard for docking his vessel. Until now, variations and combinations of bamboo species have not been carried out, especially about physical and mechanical properties. This paper investigates the effect of variations in bamboo species on the physical and mechanical properties of laminated bamboo slats for ship construction. Each species of bamboo has advantages and disadvantages, which are expected with this combination will produce better physical and mechanical properties. The best value of shrinkage properties occurred in the variation of Bambusa Arundinacea sp with Gigantochloa Apus, namely 3.86 %. The scope of work of the shipyard whichusually focuses on the work of new ship construction and reparation by expanding the business by built steel bridge in the shipyard that is still related to the business in PT.PAL Indonesia. This research, it can be concluded that the capacity of dockyardis 12 ton / m², large enough and the production capacity is 9468.93 ton / year. The equipmentare adequate with 300 ton goliath crane and the workforce is 39 people at center span assembly work. If the remaining capacity is utilized to the maximum, it will give benefit to the shipyard. From the economic aspect of the bridge construction, the shipyard gets the profit IDR 14,927,485,799 per year.

Konfigurasi bilah yang digunakan dalam proses laminasi adalah sistem carvel dengan variasi ketebalan bilah 5 mm, 8 mm, dan 10 mm. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pengujian tarik (Tensile Test) dan pengujian tekan (Compressive Test) dengan menggunakan standar pengujian SNI. Hasil pengujian tarik menunjukkan bahwa besar ketebalan bilah berbanding terbalik dengan kuat tariknya meskipun tidak begitu signifikan. The scarcity of wood lengthens the building time and also increases the price of fishing boats. This paper presents a study on the feasibility of laminated bamboo slats of the Ori bamboo species (Bambusa Arundinacea) as a substitute material for the production of fishing boats. Bamboo laminate demonstrates excellent mechanical properties, ideal for boat building. Currently, 28% of fishing boats in use are non-powered boats and 39% are propelled by an out-board engine.
