Thanks for the comment, and believe me I wish there was audio too, but jams are jams, and at times things really don’t go the way you wanted to 😥

Lots of newcomers for this game jam, welcome 😊

For a first game this is really well done, good job!

One thing you could fix is the bonus appear as selectable immediately when the round ends, and since the player spams the mouse, you end up getting a random upgrade. Just disable the button for a second after the bonus text appears for example 😉

As everyone said, art is on point, good job! I felt like having both movement and actions on the mouse was a bit much since this is real time.

Had a lot of fun playing it, excellent submission, even more for a solo game, good job

Got to 174, but no gamepad available to use, I may try harder later!

I LOVE the leaderboard I find it really gives the “just one more game” I love (I used to do leaderboards but Playfab seems broken now for me)

The game is simple and really fun, here are a few tips of improvements : -For pixel art assets, you should disable the bilinear filtering in the assets import settings, it would prevent the blurry skeletons 😉 -Add mouse support for aiming, lots of people have controlle, but almost 100% of the itch players (except on mobile) have a mouse -Check the shape and size of the characters colliders, I often dragged ennemies when not even touching them (I assume it is the players collider that is too big since enemies seem to evade the needle easily) -Add a cooldown for the damage noise to prevent the weird noise from repeating every frame

Great submission!

Haha, loved your message! I didn’t even realise this could happen!

Glad you loved our game ❤

Not sure when I will join the next jam, but if you see me, be sure to send a message 👍

Ok I see what you tried doing here and I love it 😉 I see it’s your first game so good job for that, welcome to gamedev 👍 !

The needles need a minimum of impact (1200% of 0 is still 0 :D ) otherwise you can just shoot eachother and nothing happens. Loved that the teleport works on all directions so you can have litteral dragon ball fights!

Local multiplayer is a great idea, it can make really fun games! Keep on going!

Thank you for the kind words :)

We were supposed to have someone to manage audio but he cancelled last minute and we got overwhelmed to make everything work until the very last minute so there is no sound.

Best submission I’ve seen so far, I won’t repeat what everybody said but really great job overall.

The cute / killing spree contrast is really cool, but in the end I don’t really feel the necromancy as a theme for the game (pretty much the only “negative” thing I will have to say about it)

(Also could not find that blue shirt xD)

Really good level design, I love the fact you have to go back in the previous levels in reverse!

Overall great grame and polish all around!

Will say I think I managed to softlock my run at the end of the second part (first run where you have gold skulls to collect), are you supposed to keep a needle from the previous to last room to progress to the exit? No button and needle is inaccessible when returning

Oh god! First screen I was like “yeah stacking limbs together, I did that too” but, man was I not ready for the flesh cart when I finally understood what to do.

I spent 10 minutes laughing at my flat brains in the 3rd level and could not for the love of me get past that damned stairs but that was a lot of fun! Remembered me of playing QWOP (for the older gamers out there :D )

Did not expect to have this much fun! Must say I was impressed on the main menu quality, is it premade with your engine? The fact you have to wait for the skulls to move and the timer is too short to take every points make the tension so high!

Great entry! Although, I will say I’m not a fan of the controls (or is it impossible to have international WASD movement?)

Just pushed a windows build which (should) not have this out of bounds error, also fixed the tutorial from stopping in the first room

The new webgl version should also fix the screen cropping (hopefully, if you can give feedback 👍)

Regarding the sound, we were supposed to have somebody for this but ended up not delivering, and we had no time to do it ourself unfortunately

Just pushed a windows build which (should) not have this out of bounds error, also fixed the tutorial from stopping in the first room 👍

Thanks for playing! Unsure for why some people have problems with the resolution in fullscreen, can you share your screen resolution and ratio (16/9)?

Will look into it and try to push a hotfix

Thank you for the feedback, glad you had fun :)

Do you mean you moved the body part over the inventory and so it was inacessible? That’s an issue we didn’t think of :D

Yeah these out of bounds error only happens in the webgl version and hard to track with the JS obfuscation :/ I should push a PC build

Thanks a lot!

For jams, a web version is a real plus, , tried the windows build, first comment I have is please support different keyboard layouts (I don’t know how gamemaker manages it but at least add arrows then.

I had one projectile ennemy who ended my first run and on next runs I went through lots of floors without any ennemy.

Also, maybe find a way to generate your floors faster or while the level is playing to shorten loading times ;)

Haha loved your comment, glad you liked it 👍

Wait what? lmao I didn’t know what to expect but that was unexpectedly fun

Really well made, could totally be a first level from a small game. Everything fits very well together, gameplay is way different. Great job!

Oh god, this was buggy but so addicting! I think there are supposed to be way more events, but a lot of characters got stuck walking in walls, the pool or just air so they could not go and do bad things.

And the map is pretty big, it must have took some time.

I LOVED the humor, (ooh she stealin’), there is a card to remove crying children from existence! (and a “superquit” button for some reason)

Overall I had a real blast playing it, please fix and update it

Slay the Spire from wish … it was really easy but you can’t go wrong with StS, all mecanics were nicely implemented, great!

The intro part actually unnecessary and confusing, I guess you changed ideas midway maybe?

It really needs audio and animation but seeing you did it in only one day, good job!

Ok, I LOVED it! It is very simple but so effective. Very well made, congrats! 2 things I nedded : some audio (it gets lonesome) and a way to see the deck and what happens to the used card (recycled or deleted) Great submission! Got to 7 customers served, and then not enough cards

A simple concept, but very well done. Polish, visuals, feel, audio, everything is here, good job! Would need some checks for some “impossible” situations.

Very chill game, the music fits it well. Would have loved a more in depth flight control, that would have been awesome. Oh and better descriptions for the house, I always need to check them all one by one :D

Wow the polish for the time available is amazing! Thanks for the very fun game! Only slight downside is why is there no fullscreen or downloadable? The small screen size makes it harder to understand everything.

Good Idea, as others have said this require either luck manipulation, or a non pairs only inflicts lesser damage for exemple. Good job on the overall visuals

Thank you ;)

Not sure if it is bugged, but no merchants sell anything, tell me if there is a way to progress, i will try it again. Musics are nice though

Thanks, will check it now, closing the computer (in game :D ) will help meanwhile ;)

Had a few problems like this where the cross would not end the level or with the AI, but the game is fun and your art is clean as always ;)

Could put a little more time regarding generation to check enemies do not spawn in blocked cells, and put a check to regenerate another map is the cross cannot be reached.

Good job overall!

Thanks for playing and enjoying our game!

Your health cannot go up once injured, but you recover one shield after every level ;)

For this cheese, we are aware, the solution would be to add a pathfinding solution, currently the ennemies just walk straight to you.

Congrat. You made a game. Are you proud?

Loved the game the instant I read the title, I just thought it would be the other way around.

It is not that often we see UE games on jams or just 3D games either.

Of course it needs audio and more content, but it is REALLY worth the playtime!

Also, somehow the game tried to start my SteamVR?

I laughed so hard, it fits the limitation perfectly! It is simple and does not need to be anything more than it is currently.

Definition of “work smarter not harder” for me rofl, you are my hero for this jam ;)

WOW! Amazing job on this gem, the game looks great, I LOVED the characters (“I want a name in the next version”), the UX is great, huge amount of work done in so little time!

To be picky, you could add some sounds on button clicks etc, I didn’t test the different text skip options but they seem to be needed.

Also I found a weird bug where using the scroll wheel outside of a scrollable panel would reroll the game maybe? Not entirely sure what happens, but it changes the current tab and can be exploited to add all ingredients to a potion > discover their effects > scroll in / out of laboratory > get the discovered ingredients effect but potion is empty and ingredients back in pockets

Fun game, loved the difficulty curve, and the fact your character is faster than the others but it doesn’t make you too strong, it only allows you to compensate for being alone.

2 technical things to improve outside of the game itself. I suppose you use an “older” version of unity, there is an option inside ProjectSettings>InputManager>Use Physical Keys to enable non QWERTY users to have the same keys disposition without having to adapt your code to use Z instead of W for example.

The other one is when you export you web build, the default resolution on the itch page is 960600. If you change it to 960660 there will be a bar below your game to enable fullscreen, currently the bottom of the game is a little bit cropped.

Fun experience, could use more content and interaction like teleporters or buttons to open/close paths maybe. It is short but the quantity is really well made.

Also please consider doing a web build for your future gamejams, as this is much more practical than having to download the game.

Took some time to understand what happened (since the hero is definitely not me, I should be the skeleton right?) but the idea is interesting and done good, with clean visuals.

I would argue to put a web version up for gamejams as you some will just not bother download the games (plus Unity does it very easily)

Thank you :) We reduced the firing speed to “force” using the poison damages more.

Also you can just hold the mouse bouton autoshoot as fast as possible

We planned to put more levels, a ranged / AOE boss, but yeah we got caught by time and had to cut light, maybe an update someday (unsure)

Amazing visuals!

Takes some fiddling to understand how everything works, but the gamefeel is amazing

Really needs some kind of objective (maybe just add a timer, so you can aim for a highscore)

Cute game with nice visuals, could use some work on controls, the slime slides too much and doesnt keep sprinting inertia when jumping

Other than that, “fun” game that took 30 minutes of my life :D
