Loved the puzzles! In deed a very good game!
Absolutely adorable game! Love the hydra, the mechanics are unique and feel good!
The only thing I didn't particularly like was the fire traps inside the level, I don't think they were necessary.
I absolutely loved it!!!!
Loved it, novel idea that controls well. Well executed difficulty ramp too with satisfying solutions.
Is that pikmin red momma slug in your profile? Now I realize it looks a bit like the hydra in this pic: https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvMjA2OTQ5Ny8xMjE3NTA2MS5qcGc=/original/yx0bOg.jpg
I think they're called bulborbs, that's the filename I gave it years ago anyway. The hydra and I are on the same spiritual wavelength.
Yup this was awesome. Took a while to get used to the controlls but after a short learning curve it all clicked for me. The puzzles were great and made me feel smart when I figured them out. A very novel concept and great execution and ofcourse: the graphics were something else. Very impressive.
Oh my this was fun! Great puzzles, great theme and excellent take on the jam theme! Amazing. I love the conductivity parts, that was funny and clever! It would be nice if the buttons would glow when pressed, it was hard to see and the heads sometimes move when one is moved. Also the fire hazard felt really frustrating and it was more disrupting than puzzling. The controls are hard to get used to but it is worth it, I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the game!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Buttons glowing is a nice idea, I didn’t think of that. In hindsight that is so obvious… Heads can drag the body very slowly, that can move the other heads. It is a mitigation, because it would be frustrating to not reach the button my a few mms. This way when that happens and you really try to reach for it, you can inch towards it slowly.
I fiddled a lot around with controls. The character is quite unconventional, so I did not have a lot to go on. There were many alternatives, but this one seemed the best. Do you have any suggestions what would have worked better?
Thanks for playing!
I thought about it but no. I do not have a solution for a better movement. It is very unconventional and that is what makes the game great (aside from other things). Only think that comes to mid is to limit the need for up and down movement, but that seems to be too restrictive for a level design. So the movement probably is the best it can be. It just needs a few moments to get used to :)
Great game, nice puzzles and nice learning curve. Definitely one of my fav games from the jam.
Really nice game, good overall on everything I would continue developing this, nice intuitive learning curve too
I love the derpy little hydra! The game has a great artstyle and the puzzle mechanic is really unique. Switching between the heads and moving them feels a bit awkward, but I can't think of any better way to do it from the top of my head. Fantastic game as a whole!
A very cool way to interpret the theme "less is more". It is a very interesting puzzle game and think it should be developed more.
Super unique concept and way cool execution. Enjoyed every second of it.
