Super fun idea. Very chaotic, but very fun.
Fun idea, well executed! I however tended to make him quite small in my first window and just drag my window through obstacles to take the coins, then jump to a new window and repeat the process, was easier than platforming. So maybe it would be cool if there was something that prevented that! Besides that really cool and a lot of fun!
Great feedback for if I decide to keep working on it. Thank you!
This is such a wonderful idea! Im quite impressed with however you did this, I dont think scalable window's are the easiest to do xD The game loop and puzzles were also pretty cool! Althou Im not sure if its the scale he was in, but my knight seemed to have skipped leg day, his jumps were quite tiny hahaha
Either way, this a great submission!
The window scaling was definitely a pain and a bit of hack since the character was basically always moving between new screen spaces that used different coordinates. Definitely the first thing I'd address if I kept working on the game.
Jumps are directly proportional to your height, so the smaller you are the smaller the jumps. Could probably use a bit more fine tuning.
Thank you for playing!
Wow, cool game. At first I didn't know we can move/resize windows, an explanation would be useful. I don't know if overlapping windows should be allowed. It makes the game too easy and sometimes the character dies in a wall. Good work!
Thanks! I agree about the overlapping windows, if I kept working on this the first thing I would do is rebuild that system to address several issues, that being one of them.
Incredibly inventive game. Literally thinking outside the box. And the mechanics are actually interesting to play with beyond just being a fun gimmick. Love it!
Thank you for taking the time to play and leave a comment!
This is sooo cool! :) I loved how you mixed the window manipulation mechanic with an autorunner, very nicely executed, I had great fun, thanks! :)

Mac build can't be opened unfortunately 😢 Same thing happened with my team's game 😭
Bummer! Was it the “untrusted developer” issue? There are some work arounds, but asking people to do all that is a lot for a game jam lol. I appreciate you letting me know though
All it said is "this item can't be opened" and then i got a popup saying it was damaged and needed to be moved to the trash. If something says it can't be opened, I can usually mess around in the terminal and get it to bypass whatever is stopping it, but if it's damaged i don't think I can do anything.
Ah okay, good to know! I don't have a mac myself so had some other people try it and they ran into the "untrusted developer" issue but were otherwise able to run the game fine. Might be a difference in versions, something I'll need to be mindful of for future projects. Thanks again!
Really inovative game. I don't know how it's even possible to work in many windows and between windows, but you made it. Timer for every window is clever, but it can be exploited by selecting window with top fully filled with tiles. Character is therefore outside given window and not spending timer. So player can use the one window throughout whole game as a platform.
But that's just a small issue. Other parts of the game are well done, game looks great and of course levels make you think outside the box :D
Good job.
Hey thanks for the feedback! For this prototype I actually didn’t mind that certain windows could continue to be used, but I agree it is something that would need to be addressed if I kept working on it.
This game is soo good! I had fun for a bit only with the windows mechanic and moving them around, and i accidently resized the screen and was like "WHAT THATS A MECHANIC?!?".
The game work well since it allows you to solve each window in a variety of ways and you are encouraged to be creative!
Great submission!
Thanks for playing! Glad you caught on, next jam I’m definitely gonna prioritize some tutorials
The game doesn't work on Linux unfortunately.
Damn, I had hoped it would but unfortunately had no way of testing it. Appreciate you letting me know
WOW! This is so well done, from the mechanics to the art and how good the concept its itself!
Thank you for the kind review!
Very interesting idea! completely forgot to use the scaling windows feature at first but once i did it added a fun new layer to it!, although sometimes it was a bit tricky to try and grab on to the edge of the window to scale, but overall love the submission!
Thank you!
Really cool concept and well executed. It's fun to play, easy to understand but hard to master. For some reason the game windows were semi-transparent on my PC but it wasn't a big deal.
Ah hadn't heard that one or run into myself yet, so that is good to know thank you! Glad you enjoyed it anyways.
interesting idea, i discovered after a bit I could overlap the windows that open up to all new dimensions ahah
love it, a bit of work on the art side and this could be a really cool game! keep it up!
Thank you for taking the time to play it! Yeah the art isn't mine, I'm a programmer so I just grabbed a simple but cohesive free to use pack. In the future I would definitely prefer to team up with an artist.
If you could tell me what weed you smoke when you find ideas i'm 100% all in ! This is crazy smart and fun. The first time i'm seeing something like this, it was hard but not too much, the game si polished and works well, very very good job !
Lmao thank you! Been sober for about 10 years, so no substances were consumed during the making of this game.
I've seen this kind of concept before in previous GMTKs but not like this. Overall the way it was handled was really well thought out. If I had to critique something about it its that the windows are kind of hard to scale whilst moving.
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time out of your day to give it a look.
Yeah the window scaling is not quite where it needs to be. A big area where the mouse is considered "clicking" I think would have helped a lot.
Wow, what a cool concept for a game! Great attention to detail with the signals that you were running out of time. I wish the spike hitboxes were a bit more forgiving, and I feel like the scale drag handles could be larger (I didn’t figure out you could scale the windows for a while because I never had my mouse in quite the right place), but you have something special here and I hope you keep working on it!
Thank you!
I didn't run into issues with the spikes when playtesting, though granted with the limited time I didn't do too much of that honestly. Definitely a great callout and something I'd keep in mind if I did keep working on it.
Completely agree about the windows, its a bit too finicky as is to readjust them.
Wow, this is a clever take on the theme and on platformers in general. Mechanics were easy to understand, but that didn't prevent the game from being fun and challenging.
Thank you for taking the time to check it out and I am glad you enjoyed it!
Solid game. I love that even the title screen is made up of windows. It's pretty hard. Really clever puzzle. I hope this wins.
My background was all black, unlike the screenshots. That'd be even cooler to play with a transparent background.
Did you happen to play on Mac or Linux?
Thank you for the kind words!
I played on Windows 10. Might be the 3440x1440 screen. It's often a problem.
Amazing idea! Was a bit difficult to scale the windows while they were moving, but otherwise had a good time playing it.
Thank you for taking to play and leave feedback. I agree, if I had to change one thing it would definitely be to make window resizing slightly easier. Probably by make the mouse cursor have a wider area it can grab.
