Great job with the layout of everything and the art style is unique and nicely done. Took a few tries but I was able to defeat the host :) well done!
well almost russian roulette simulator (not bad stuff by itself). wish there was more strategy element in it. for example: levels with 4 doors but you can buy fake door detector and there would be decision do you have to spend money in case there is 4 doors in next level or leave it for bomb. or, if you want to keep it random num generator game, check “orange roulette”. its very tense cause of its aesthetics (which this game dont really include. ascii visual its just tech limitation which developers got long time ago and lack of artists working with paint. it
s just dont have ethic) so number result felt interesting. it
s a bit inhonest game. you`ve got only 3 lives + healing item for money and host got 5-6 lives (i guess? maybe even more) + healing every new round.also wiki did meta strategy for this game
Hey. I appreciate the comment! Thanks for your criticism.
This is my first ever game jam so I'll be improving on these things.
It's interesting you pointed out Orange Roulette, some of the inspiration for this I got from playing Buckshot Roulette, which is very similar to that. I wanted to add fun items to the shop, which player could buy to increase their odds and would make the game more fun. Right now, it gets very repetetive and there's not much strategy to the game.
Again, thanks for playing my game.
Happy to hear you keep working at game, but as you can see you would need more various level design for more various items :)
Fun game, good idea.
If you have time check out my game.
cool game
The DOS style graphics look really interesting. The text appears a bit too slow
Very unique art style. It's a simple, but fun little game. Another item would have been welcome. I wouldn't have the text appear one character at a time with a sound effect as that can get repetitive. But, a great game.
Really nice game, I loved the simple artstyle and the idea, I can definitely see this be expanded!
What a nice little game! The shop is a nice addition and i love the looks of the game. great job!
A fun little game! Love the host characters text based character design.
very simple, but fun! an interesting take on the monty hall problem. although, if you know the solution to the problem, it gets a little easier lol. i love the ascii graphics, very charming!
U Wrote the whole thing from scratch!?!
That's really cool :O
The strange choice of technology (Java, Libgdx) held me back a little bit, everything had to be created programmatically
I will give Godot a chance next time.
Really fun and cool, my only problem with it is that its a bit too reliant on rng. I tried to beat it but kept getting unlucky and it felt like i couldnt do anything
Wanted to add items in the shop, which would have improved the player's odds. That would add more strategy to the game.
But there was a time crunch and lots of spaghetti code, so I couldn't really bring that vision to reality :P
