wasnt able to play it, crashed on start ;-;
loved the announcer do.
I like a lot the visuals, these make us feel really tiny compared to the huge bosses we are facing, really well achieved this effect. the mechanics are solid and feels like its really fun and cool experience. I rate graphics, control, fun and music the most, but all is great really. also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!
I liked the art style and music of your game!!
the controls feel a bit off, it took me a while to get used to but the gameplay was fun!
Nice work!!
Thank you for your kind words and coming to check us out!
The idea is really great, I don’t know why, but it feels nice to be a little boat shooting a rubber duck. The art and music are really good too. I liked it, fun game!
Something just feels nice about letting the inner child out and playing with your toys again ^_^
Like the music, like the idea but in my opinion it would be better to give the player the opportunity to move the boat and maybe missiles would be better to be fired upon your target. (at least in my case I wanted to hit the rubber duckie in the head :-).
These are all things we’re actively working on now! We opted for the simpler play due to time restraints and the challenge of a 3D game in such a short development span.
Really fun and cute game! I loved the art and looks of everything! Feels different than most submissions in a good way! It makes it fun to play!
(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you could rate and give me some feedback on my game! I'd really love to see where I can improve for the future!)
Yay! Thank you for such kind words, and for coming to check us out! I will head over to your game and give it a look :)
funny game! I enjoyed my time playing!
I'm so glad you made time for us, thanks for playing!
I liked it a lot! The graphics are nice, and the idea is funny. Maybe a bit confusing at first, but the game is really good :D
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it, thanks for your kind words!
Cool game. I would like the boss fight to immediately restart when you die. And the game requires tutorial.
We made the intentional choice for the bosses to restart you from a menu in the event that you failed. Traditionally, that's how the boss rush genre has worked. That's why we added in the boss select to face off against bosses that you've at least seen in order to spend time on them to learn.
We considered a tutorial but figured that our time would be better spent on a control description on the front page and finishing a third boss.
Thanks for taking the time to check out our game!
I like the concept! We haven't had that many on-rails shooters recently so this was nice to see. I think it would've been nice to see the duck wind up the water beam attack since it was really hard to prepare to shield that attacks. Overall, nice work!
This was definitely an intentional choice. We wanted to have more of a wind-up but animations were one of our later endeavors so it wasn't clear enough unfortunately. I did adjust the placement of the beam in the wee hours before submission, so if you dash through, I promise you can make it! You can also orbit in/out to avoid as well. I can cede that I may have made it a little too challenging to react to ;_;
Very original concept. However you need to increase the hitbox of the bubbles and abilities because they do not react when i shoot them. Some textures differ too much in quality, but i liked the atmosphere of this game. Also i like the mom's humming in the loading screen, it really fits the atmosphere.
Thanks for coming to check us out and the kind words. That was my humming, so I appreciate the warm feedback there :)
It's probably a fun game.
I can't say much about gameplay as I'm kind of having skill issue with FPS or 3D shooting games which requires precise aim especially if my character have to constantly moving.
I don't know much about the difficulties but I'm pretty sure you need to give a signal for the boss attacks especially if it's instant long range attacks like that water beam, it can be like charging animation or warning signs so player can anticipated or maybe it's just me having a skill issue and couldn't read the timing perfectly, my bad then.
Again, I can't really say much about this game so that's all I guess, if I write something wrong or missed something, let me know.
There is actually a period of time where you can react by dashing to give yourself some i-frames. You can also move your boat closer in to move underneath the beam, but that's on me for not making that clear earlier on.
All that aside, thank you so much for taking time to play our game. The three of us appreciate it immensely!
This game instantly grabbed me when I saw it because I just really love the concept of a rubber ducky bathtub showdown. Massive props for that level of creativity, it always makes me really happy when I see people show off their creativity in jams
I'm so glad that you loved the concept as much as us! Thanks for the kind words!
The proof of concept is nice, I think this game will benefit a lot from being top down and controlling the boat's speed manually, I really like the idea and the art style is nice too.
Overall good job!
This is something that we've heard a lot that we've taken to heart. We intentionally chose the rail shooter perspective to limit scope due to the time restraints. We just didn't feel we could realistically do a 3D game with that level of control within four weeks.
That being said, we're actively working on producing that control as a second iteration right now!
I wanted to like this due to it being so popular on the list. I just couldn't figure it out though. I shot the big bubbles coming at me and dodged all the floating bubbles but kept dying. I love how the game looks though and it is another unique take on the spin idea! I just don't care much for the gameplay, but its probably a skill issue from me as usual lol.
Thanks for coming and checking it out! I routinely can't get past the first boss myself (I'm a counselor as my first job, artist as my second, and only recently not a fake geek lol) Feel free to message us for pointers if you want to give it another go :)
As frustrating as it is fun. just like the arcade classics, this would be a quarter muncher.
Thank you for your feedback and for testing it out! We're doing pretty good if even the duck likes it, me thinks!

My score for RubberDuckyBoatBattle:
Fun :: Lacks somewhat
The zany humor makes up for a lot, but the bugs still damage the experience
Boss Design :: Lacks little
While buggy and unbalanced, the design itself was phenomenal
Theme :: Lacks severely
The theme felt like an afterthought
Controls :: Lacks somewhat
The layout was unintuitive, some mechanics fall short of their usefulness, but overall not terrible.
Audio :: Lacks little
Music was great, and even had some intriguing surprises. SFX were there. Great effort nonetheless.
Visuals :: Lacks little
Astonishingly vast array of visuals. Ultimately suffered from the scope, but impressive that so much was done.
I really like the idea of this but I struggled to get to grips with the controls, the addition of power ups was really nice and the models were great, the voice acting at the start was a really nice touch too
That voice was me! Thanks so much for the kind words.
I simply loved the 3D art style, the sound effects are well-fitted, I just couldn't adapt very well to the movement style, I found it very difficult to dodge attacks. Congratulations on your game, I really liked it!
Thanks for the kind words! We knew we would see a lot of 2D games and we've never made a 3D game before so we decided to try something new!
I gave it a go, and I couldn't figure out the mechanics on how to beat the boss, I felt limited on movement. But I liked the rubber ducky! This game definitely has the cute factor. Congrats on submission, and good luck with the jam!
