I love the Hades-like combat of this game and the controls are wonderful and so are the art and visuals, I love those glows and shaders. But, the second boss moves to fast, it barely lets me even land him a single hit, by the time he stops doing the flash step attack he goes straight to teleporting again, it doesn't let me time to breath. Like yeah, I like having quick reaction times, but that's pretty much near impossible. I think you should Raiju to have a moment in which he is stunned/exhausting or charging to have a little bit of breather and letting the player land some hits, and you could still have those quick combo attacks that you currently have in which he goes quickly between attacks very fast.
Besides that little rant, the game is really good, bosses are well designed and polished, the combat is really good, burst mode is a bit to OP for my liking, but I can see you've made it rewarding for how improbable it is to get.
If you plan on expanding this game, this could be a really good Roguelike/Roguelite. I'd really like to see what awaits this game in the future.
I agree. I want to somehow make a boss that forces players to make their bullets count but failed miserably lol. I didn't have much time feeling out the bosses as I started way too late and had to do almost everything for the game.

I dont have a powerful machine to run at full speed, but it looks great really, the mechanics are nice, the revolver with the color bullets is a clever idea, also boss attacks are awesome and have nice bullet patterns, I rate graphics, fun, control and music the most, but all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

Despite Godot's best efforts to make this game damn near unplayable on web, I found this game to be absolutely awesome. It's a proper proper bullet hell, with an insane bombardment of projectiles running at you, while you're also trying to multitask with hitting the boss properly which makes for a very tough and very thrilling gameplay experience. The polish in the audio and visuals go without saying to, this is a gorgeous game

The VFX are amazing! only pet peeves are the fact that I can't Fullscreen, or it just becomes a small square at the top left of my screen, and the lag without hardware acceleration on.

Your game looks visually amazing, VFX really stand out and I like the quality of life that bosses telegraph their attacks. The shooting mechanic is pretty fun, it feels really rewarding to get the burst and destroy the bosses, though I think it depended too much on luck imo.
Somehow I love the cover of this game. It is the reason I check it out. Then you top it with a fun polished game. Well done.

Got the performance issue, its so laggy when boss shot radial bullet.
Its a nice game overall, I would play longer if there is no performance issue..
Looks nice but has some performace issues even on windows build. game even froze on boss 3.
Bosses seemed difficult even when I understood bullets color mechanic. This might be because bosses are so agressive that there is little time to look at my bullets and collors still left on the boss.

I tried the Webbuild but unfortunately it wont start as the window pops up and telling me to click outside of the window, which I did but it didn’t help :(
I will try the Linux build later tho..
PS: A question from Dev to Dev ;) as you using Godot, how did you implement these telegraphs on the ground to show the player that an attack is immanent? I wanted to add this to my game too, but hadn’t hat the time and Decals wont work in compatibility mode :/
Hiya! I've implemented the decals by using the depth map to get the world position. You can find a snippet somewhere in shadertoy, then it's in world_space/model_space so multiplying it by inv model matrix and use that as uv. I'm also pretty sure someone made it in godot shaders and you can use that as well.
If you're using Firefox, my build for some reason doesn't run on firefox :(
Thank you Blink for giving me some insights into the telegraph thingy. Did you build the projections out of meshes or are they rectangle and circle textures?
Yes, I tried Firefox at first, but it didn’t work. I just now tried Chrome and that works much better, so I actually could play the game.
Very nice menu with the parallax background, has a nice feel to it. So I started the Tutorial and played a little there. Very cool of you adding it so one can get a better hang of the mechanics.
After that I was ready to battle. The music changed and the battle started and boy did I get spanked. I almost immediately got rick rolled :p - But before that I hat a couple frame-lags (which my game also suffers from, and it also seems to come from dynamically loaded particles in your game) - So the Boss has these Boulder attacks and these Ring attacks, and I really struggled to dodge those, they hit me almost every time.. so maybe I timed it wrong.. but the wiped me quick. So I tried a couple times but couldn’t get far unfortunately.. so it might be a skill issue on my end ;)
Anyways it looks and feels really good. Maybe tune down the Boss attacks a bit and it will be just fine.
So overall a job very well done!
The projections are just the Godot quad meshes. Since it will get projected, you won't really need a much more complex mesh. The shader also builds the shape, and the whole animation. Haha, I remember giving a bit of feedback on this game! (^▽^) So happy to see it turn out so well. I truly enjoyed every bit of it! The 3D visuals weren’t over the top, but they were really well done. ( ̄▽ ̄)b The VFX were nicely thought out and did a great job telegraphing boss attacks. The second boss is my favorite (because he’s just like my second boss~). (¬‿¬) I really hope you make it into the top 30 and take this game even further! ☆⌒(>_<)
