2022, my sixth entry for js13k. I abandoned all the dreams of trying to impress with a huge game, and instead created a tiny arcade game/toy that my daughter could play and enjoy. It's also pretty challenging if you play in hardcore mode.

Race across the galaxy as you hop from planet to planet, following the lives of your now distant friends.

2021, my fifth entry for js13k. Wanted to create a simple arcade game with nice visuals and audio and a cute storyline. I think it worked out pretty well!

2020 - Fourth time I participated in the js13k challenge. I assembled together an awesome team and our entry was impressive, technically...

2019, my third entry for js13k. I only managed to invest a small amount of time so the end result was a bit smol. Still was an interesting experiment on procedural generation for pokemon-like creatures including vector visuals. Not much of a game in the original submission, honestly, but decided to add a bit more to it in 2023 and it's looking better.

2018, my second entry for js13k. When the results were out I was walking the San Francisco wharf with Thomas Biskup. Was super disappointed with the results (didn't make it to the top 100). Floaty controls and a lack of a more appealing theme killed this one. I loved the music done by Ryan Malm, inspired by Tyrian!

2017, my first entry for JS13K which I'll always remember because my daughter was born the same day I finished it. I thought it was going to be very impressive but instead was hard for the judges to get through mainly because of some onboarding I removed to fit the 13k. I'm still very happy with it. An undersea adventure inspired by Aquaria.
