Blogging is the practice of writing and publishing datestamped posts listed in reverse chronological order on a website (weblog or blog for short), each post usually publicly available at a permalink (sometimes a fragment link) on a personal site.
Most blogs today consist of articles though when blogging started, early blog software (e.g. Blogger) was used to publish notes without titles.
