BLDC motor however requires sector information (rotor position) to perform commutation externally using power electronics converter based BLDC drives. Various control techniques to enhance BLDC motors performance using BLDC drives were proposed in existing literature. In this paper, a simple yet effective approach of current control technique for BLDC motor is proposed. The proposed methodology is called Positive current control based on positive current reference generation using hall based sensor and subsequently implementation of modified modulation scheme for BLDC motor drives. Nonfrequency-dependent transport delay phase-locked loop (NTD-PLL) comprised of an additional tra... more Nonfrequency-dependent transport delay phase-locked loop (NTD-PLL) comprised of an additional transport-delay (TD) unit in the Park transformation matrix (TM), supposedly to improve the offset and double-frequency oscillatory errors (DFOEs) during the frequency deviations. This modification in the Park TM, however, does not eliminate the DFOEs from all the estimation parameters of the utility grid. It is shown in this letter that the issue can be completely alleviated from all the estimation parameters of the grid just by adding another TD unit in the Park TM of NTD-PLL. The effectiveness of the suggested approach is verified through numerical and experimental results.

In this paper we present, selection of Motor among different available electric motors, estimation of base power rating of selected motor, design of suitable gear ratio considering limitations of overloading and under loading operation to achieve longer mileage and safe performance of drive train. Dynamics of vehicle is simulated under MATLAB/Simulink environment and from simulated results base and peak power rating of the motor is estimated and apposite gear box is designed with requisite acceleration and gradability performance for entire operation in Indian Driving Cycle (IDC).

BIPV systems - comprising photovoltaic (PV) modules installed on available building surfaces and downstream energy conversion devices - afford improvement of energy efficiency of buildings and partially or fully dispenses with the supply of centralized grid power. This paper presents a comprehensive techno-economic review, covering the technical as well as commercial aspects of microinverter technology. Advantages of microinverters over conventional inverters are detailed along with a discussion on economics of its installation in distributed solar generation systems. Different power converter topologies reported in the available literature are presented. The paper also reports the historical development of commercial microinverters and their present status in the Photovoltaic (PV) market. Survey of the available products from some of the technology leaders in the market has been done and their specifications are tabulated. The paper concludes with a discussion on the necessities of the next generation microinverters for increased penetration in the PV market.

This paper deals with proper estimation of power rating of electric motor by root means square technique while considering the limitations of overloading and under loading operation of motor used in electric vehicle along with some specified design parameters, aiming towards better performance than that of a conventional IC engine driven vehicle. Dynamics of three wheeled vehicle is simulated on MATLAB/Simulink environment under a sequence of road grade angle variation in Indian Drive cycle (IDC), which is formulated by Automotive Research Association of India, Pune. Using simulated vehicle dynamics, power rating of the motor is estimated so that it can be operated efficiently and safely throughout the entire Indian drive Cycle.
