The aim of this research is to investigate the origami(paper folding art) works (articles, thesis... more The aim of this research is to investigate the origami(paper folding art) works (articles, thesis, article and book) made in the field of mathematics education in Turkey for the last 18 years. The research has been limited with the articles, conference papers, thesis and books about origami made in the field of mathematics education. It is thought that the current situation of origami studies in Turkey reflects the limitations of the work. Collected data were analyzed through content analysis and 30 works were reached. In this study, data were collected by document review technique. The data are analyzed by content analysis. Studies conducted on the origami were grouped under six main titles; the year, sample group, type of study, the subject, method, data collection tools, and findings, data analysis methods. At the end of the research, it is seen that the studies conducted using origami have increased in recent years. Results of this study indicated that the effects of origami on academic achievement, learning were examined in Works in Turkey.

The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of constructivist learning environment on... more The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of constructivist learning environment on the cognitive characteristics, psyco-motor skills, social skills and psychologic characteristics of students’ in tenth grade geometry class. This research is a quasi-experimental design. Participants were 60 tenth-grade students. Both experimental and control group consisted of 30 students. Traditional learning method was conducted with control group and cooperative environment method according to constructivist learning approach was applied to experimental group. The data was collected by observation forms, learning activities, students’ notes, research tasks and interviews. The experimental group were more successful than the control group in cognitive characteristics, psyco-motor skills, social skills and psychologic characteristics. Also, the results showed that the constructivist learning environment could provide positive contributions to acquire and learn the triangle concept and to increase students' motivation and self-confidence.

Kavram ise, nesnelerin ya da olayların ortak özelliklerini kapsayan ve ortak ad altında toplayan soyut ve genel fikirdir. Geometrinin bir konusu olan çember bilgisi, öğrencilere ilköğretimin üçüncü sınıfından itibaren verilmektedir. Çemberde açı konusunda yapılabilecek kavram yanılgısı, ileriki geometrik bilgileri doğrudan etkileyebilecek niteliktedir. O nedenle açı kavramı algılanması seçildi. Araştırmada, ortaöğretim öğrencilerin geometri dersinde çemberde açılar konusundaki öğrenme düzeyleri, hatalar ve kavram yanılgıları açısından incelenmiş ve öğretmenlere bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Araştırmanın amacını gerçekleştirmek için, 2003-2004 öğretim yılında Balıkesir Muharrem Hasbi Lisesi'nde okuyan 11. sınıflardan 3 şube olmak üzere toplam 70 öğrenci örnekleme alınmıştır. Veriler, 12 tane açık uçlu soru içeren sınavdan elde edilmiştir. Çalışmada, 12 soru içinden seçilen 5 soru üzerinde durulmaktadır. Elde dilen bulgular sonucunda hataların nedenleri şöyle özetlenebilir: Öğrenciler, sorularda çemberdeki iç, dış, merkez ve çevre açı kavramları arasında bağlantı kuramamakta, sorulardaki çember içindeki üçgensel ve dörtgensel bölgelerdeki açı kavramlarında bazı özellikleri uygulamakta zorlanmakta ve sorulardaki verileri iyi analiz edememektedirler. ABSTRACT: The knowledge Geometry is one of the important secondary branches of Maths. Concept which includes the common features of events and objects and gathers them under a certain name is an abstract and common idea. Circle introduction which is the subject of geometry lesson is given for students from 3th grade in elemantary education. Misconceptions about circle knowledge have the quality which affects directly to the geometric konowledge. So, the realization concept of angles was chosen. In this research secondary education students' concepts of angles in circle in geometry lesson according to their errors and misconceptions and some suggestions have been offered to the teachers. The purpose of this research is to examine the sample includes 70 students that is three 11th grade selected from the High School of Muharrem Hasbi in Balıkesir 2003-2004 academic year. Data are collected through a test including 12 open-ended questions. Data had been taken including 12 open-ending questions. In this study 5 of the 12 questions were taken into consideration. The reason of the errors can be summarized as follows: Students can not make contact with the concepts of interior, exterior, center and environment angles in a circle, students are forced themselves to practise some properties in angle concepts of trianglation and quadrilateralation regions into circle. Data with questions of angle are not analyzed well.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, meslek lisesi öğrencilerinin matematik dersinde origami etkinliklerinin değe... more Bu çalışmanın amacı, meslek lisesi öğrencilerinin matematik dersinde origami etkinliklerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2018–2019 öğretim yılı Balıkesir ilindeki meslek lisesinde öğrenim gören 30 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler, origami etkinlikleri, gözlem ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. 10. ve 12.sınıf öğrencilerine matematik dersinde 2 hafta boyunca origami etkinlikleri uygulanmıştır. Kağıt katlama etkinlikleri, bir kağıdın katlanması, açı ve uzunluk hesaplama soruları ile ilişkilidir. Veriler, nitel ve nicel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Gözlem verileri betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları, birçok meslek lisesi öğrencisinin origami etkinliklerini eğlenceli, yararlı ve ilginç bulduklarını göstermiştir. Bunun yanısıra bulgular, öğrencilerin geometrik şekilleri (kare, dikdörtgen) katlamada ve problem çözmede zorlandıklarını göstermiştir. Çalışma sonunda literatür ile ilişkili tartışma yapılmış ve araştırmacılar için öneriler verilmiştir.
