Coffee is one of the most valuable traded commodities in the world, Ethiopia is the birth place of Arabica coffee; its cultivation plays a vital role both in the cultural and socio economic life of the Nation. Gomma district is known for its high production of coffee. However, there is a gap incoffee value chain and marketing in that producers are not benefitted from the existing coffeeincome to the extent that should be. The aim of the study was to find to identify actors and their roles in Coffee value chain activities in the study area; to assess margin and profit share of coffeevalue chain actors in the study area and to identify determinants that affecting Coffee ValueChain in the study area. Both primary and secondary data source was collected; the primary datawas generated by survey of 160 household farmers, 40 traders, 40 consumers and 10 coffeeinvestors using semi structured interview question and questionnaire and analyzed using STATAsoftware. Coffee value chain actors identified in the study include individual coffee producingfarmers, cooperatively coffee producing and ,participatory forest coffee conservation cooperativefarmers, mini, medium and large scale coffee producing investors, coffee assemblers, coffee processors, whole sellers, private exporters, retailers, consumers and supporters. Three-stagesampling procedures were used. Descriptive statistics and econometric models were used toanalyze the data. According to this data analysis 90% of the farmers producing coffee purposively for their income; each farmer on average has 0.1788hectare but average coffee yieldof the study area in production year of 2020 was 7.320 quintal clean coffee per hectare. Marginanalysis of coffee market reveals that producer’s share of dry cherry coffee at local collector,cooperative and wholesaler outlets was 54.39%, 56.4% and 55% respectively and the farmers got better net income from dry cherry than red cherry coffee and those participating in cooperativemore net income than non-participating farmers. The farmers have been selling their coffee tothe three main market channels such that local collector, primary cooperative and privatewholesaler. From econometric output the paper found that income and access to priceinformation have positive impact on local collector and

level on wholesaler, quantity of coffee sold, access to credit finance, distance to nearest market and access to own transportationhave negative impact on local collector and wholesaler outlets.
