W części empirycznej zaprezentowano wyniki analizy projektów i przedsięwzięć realizowanych w województwie śląskim, głównie dotyczących: poprawy technicznej i ekonomicznej dostępności infrastruktury informatycznej i telekomunikacyjnej oraz zwiększenia ilości i użyteczności usług i treści cyfrowych. In the first part of the paper, the classification of prosumers in terms of their eagerness to share knowledge with enterprises is presented. This classification was used as a foundation to specify the essential knowledge sharing activities that prosumers undertake in their relationship with the enterprise. The second part presents a conceptual model delineating the relationships occurring between the characteristics of prosumers and their eagerness for knowledge sharing. The aim of this paper is twofold. The first objective is to present a coherent picture of measurement methods for information society. The second aim of the paper is to show measurement findings of information society in selected countries – especially Poland. First, the paper presents available methods of information society measurement and a core set of internationally agreed information society indicators. Secondly, the measurement of information society has been performed with the application of three methods – measuring the influence of ICT on GDP, measuring the ICT Development Index and measuring the Networked Readiness Index. Then, the information systems deployed in public administration at the central and local levels are characterised. Further, a case study of information system implementation in Polish public administration is provided. The outcome of the conducted research are practical tips and recommendations on the implementation of information systems for processes management in public administration.

The studied population included employees of the Centre of Infrastructure, Region - al Branch Office in Warsaw. Prosumers’ knowledge is increasingly becoming an integral and important element in business strat... more Prosumers’ knowledge is increasingly becoming an integral and important element in business strategy regardless of the country. A major challenge for enterprises involves motivating prosumers to share their knowledge. This problem is addressed by incentives linked to the knowledge sharing activities of prosumers. Previous research showed that prosumers are willing to share knowledge, but only under the condition of obtaining certain benefits, rewards or fulfilling other personal goals in return. The purpose of this paper is to investigate which incentives encouraged and would encourage Polish and UK-based prosumers to engage in knowledge sharing with enterprises. The reported outcomes are the result of a questionnaire survey that yielded responses from 783 Polish and 171 UK-based prosumers. Information and communication technologies (ICTs) encompassing computer and network hardware and ... more Information and communication technologies (ICTs) encompassing computer and network hardware and software, and so on, as well as various services and applications associated with them, are assuming a growing presence within the modern homestead and have an indelible impact on the professional and everyday life of people. This research aims to explore factors influencing the successful adoption and usage of ICTs within Polish households. Based on prior literature and practical experiences, a framework of success factors is provided. The required data was collected from a survey questionnaire administered to a sample of Polish households to examine this framework and identifies which factors are of greatest importance for the adoption and usage of ICTs within households in Poland. Based on 751 questionnaires the paper indicates that the adoption of ICTs within households is mainly influenced by the economic status of households and cost of ICTs, perceived economic benefits from the usage of ICTs, technological availability and security of ICTs, ICT competences and awareness, as well as satisfaction with the adoption of ICTs. Furthermore, gender, education, and place of residence do not reflect significant differences on the factors. Yet, there are significant differences among the factors that could be attributed to age. Both, policy makers and ICT providers can benefit from the findings with regard to bridging the gap of ICT adoption and use in the Polish households.

The survey methodology was used to collect the data utilized in answering the research questions and based on the analysis and logical deduction, a conceptual customer stratification framework was proposed. This framework explains the stages required by a business to observe customers social media discussions starting with validation where business should aim to better understand how customers map themselves onto other customer experiences. Secondly, the reinforcement stage is where business should explore how the customer is better informed to make choices from the customer's discussions. Finally, through the contradiction stage the business should recognise the value placed to explore where they are weak and have a means to correct these areas.

Based on 751 questionnaires the paper indicates that the adoption of ICTs within households is mainly influenced by the economic status of households and cost of ICTs, perceived economic benefits from the usage of ICTs, technological availability and security of ICTs, ICT competences and awareness, as well as satisfaction with the adoption of ICTs. Furthermore, gender, education, and place of residence do not reflect significant differences on the factors. Yet, there are significant differences among the factors that could be attributed to age. Both, policy makers and ICT providers can benefit from the findings with regard to bridging the gap of ICT adoption and use in the Polish households.
The purpose of this study is to explore how the customer knowledge management systems support bus... more The purpose of this study is to explore how the customer knowledge management systems support business follow-up of customer reviews and discussion using social media, and propose a customer stratification framework. The survey methodology was used to collect the data utilized in answering the research questions and based on the analysis and logical deduction, a conceptual customer stratification framework was proposed. This framework explains the stages required by a business to observe customers social media discussions starting with validation where business should aim to better understand how customers map themselves onto other customer experiences. Secondly, the reinforcement stage is where business should explore how the customer is better informed to make choices from the customer's discussions. Finally, through the contradiction stage the business should recognise the value placed to explore where they are weak and have a means to correct these areas.
