However, there has been little research on the extraction/stabilization of heavy metals by desert plants in arid areas. This study analyzed eight heavy metals (Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Mn, and As) in 10 desert plants and their growth matrices. In addition, the single factor pollution index and Nemerow comprehensive pollution index were used to evaluate soil pollution. Based on the biological accumulation factor and the biological concentration factor, the fuzzy evaluation method was used to evaluate plant extraction/stability potentials for heavy metals. The results showed that Cd, Cu, Ni, and Cr in the soil around the tailings pond were at the heavy pollution level, Mn and Pb pollution was moderate, and Zn and As pollution was light. The matrix factorization model showed that Cu and Ni came from industrial pollution; Cd and Cr came from atmospheric depositio...

First, the basic principle of the supercapacitor magnetic field system was briefly introduced. Then the main parameters of the power supply and solenoid were discussed and calculated in detail. In the end, through the simulation and experiment, we verified that the magnetic field system based on supercapacitor could well meet guiding magnetic need. Finally, the roadblock and outlook of this magnetic system were analyzed generally. The method in this research would have certain reference value for the design of similar magnetic systems.

Target segmentation tries to separate the target from the background thus eliminating the interference of background noises or clutters. However, the segmentation may also discard a part of the target characteristics and the target shadow which also contain discriminative information for target recognition. Then the tradeoff between interference elimination and discriminability loss will cause some effects on the target recognition. This paper aims to evaluate the influence of target segmentation on target recognition. Target recognition under standard operating condition (SOC) and several extended operating conditions (EOCs), i.e., depression angle variance and noise corruption, is conducted on the moving and stationary target acquisition and recognition (MSTAR) dataset using the original image and segmented target image, respectively. Moreover, the recognition performance under target segmentation errors is also evaluated. By comparing the recognition performance, the effects of target segmentation can be illustrated.

The polymer gel prepared using partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM), hexamethylenetetramine, phenol, resorcinol, oxalic acid, and thiocarbamide as raw materials had a special network structure to overcome the challenge of significant heterogeneity in heavy oil reservoirs. The strength of polymer gel reached the maximum value 20,000 mPa·s within 22 h. The temperature resistance and salt resistance of polymer gel directly determined the plugging effect. The polymer gel was placed for 190 days at 85 ℃, and its apparent viscosity retention rate was 66.4%. The salt resistance experiments showed that the apparent viscosity retention rate of this polymer gel at 1.8 wt % NaCl, 0.045 wt % CaCl2, 0.045 wt % MgCl2 was 71.3%, 78.5%, 71.4%, respectively. METHODS Data was from the 183 295 records of Children Follow-up Study Project carried out by the Institute of Reproductive and Child Heath of Peking University and the records of related perinatal health care surveillance system in rural areas of 15 counties/cities of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. WHO-NCHS standard was used to assess the childhood physical level of growth. Data of children's birth and their mothers' perinatal health were correlated to determine influencing factors for childhood stunting and underweight. RESULTS The average stunting rate was 7.95% and underweight rate was 1.55%. Sex, birth weight, preterm birth as well as maternal height, maternal BMI at the first prenatal visit, maternal education and occupation were signific...

This technology is used not only as a new way with the aim of enhancing the cyber and physical security of power systems, but also has been applied to enhance the exchanged information between units. When Fuel Cell (FC), photovoltaic cells (PV) and wind turbines (WT) are used as sources of distributed generation (DG), there will be a situation called Islanding Micro-Grid (MG), so that this situation has the ability to control voltage, frequency and current of the system with no dependence on the utility. Hence, for overcoming load variations and disturbances, designing and implementing a robust controller is vital. Accordingly, a robust General Type-2 Fuzzy sliding mode controller (GT2FSMC) on the basis of gray wolf optimization algorithm is presented in the following study with the purpose of enhancing the power sharing amongst the distributed generations operating in the off-grid MG. The offered controller, in addition to warrant the stability and robust versus uncertainties of the lumped generated via extrinsic disturbances and un-modelled dynamics, has the ability to significantly decrease the control chattering inherent in primary sliding mode control. In the following paper, it is assumed that there are two distributed generations, each with specific duties. One has the duty of regulating the frequency and voltage through a reference signal, and another is responsible for working in load current control mode with the aim of sharing load correctly among each of them. For stopping malicious attacks, an assured policy framework according to the blockchain (BC) has been created to enhance the security of interchanged data among production units. Plus, two low-voltage parallel DG units exist in the MG. With the aim of evaluating the mentioned way, the simulation results have been done via MATLAB environment. According to the outcomes, it can be concluded that this mentioned controller has the ability of providing lower steady state error and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) with faster response in comparison to the further controllers that generally are used. The simulation results show that the DG unit operations within the islanding MG have the ability of coordinating successfully under that mentioned control system with the aim of confirming stable operation of the throughout MG.

The phosphor has broad excitation band ranging from 265 nm to 600 nm with two peaks at 345 nm and 468 nm and can give strong red emission band peaking at 667 nm. The co-doped Na+/Ge4+ ions largely improve the luminescence properties of Li2Mg3TiO6: Mn4+. It is found that the luminescence intensity of Li2Mg3TiO6: Mn4+/Na+/Ge4+ is increased by 132% as compared with that of Li2Mg3TiO6: Mn4+ phosphor. Meanwhile the quantum efficiency of Li2Mg3TiO6: Mn4+/Na+/Ge4+ has also increased from 32.83% to 53.55%. The mechanism of luminescence improvement may be attributed to the lowered symmetry of [TiO6] octahedral sites in Li2Mg3TiO6 host induced by the doped Na + ions and the reduction of energy transfer probability among Mn4+ ions caused by the doped Ge4+ ions. The developed phosphor with suitable spectral properties has potential application in white-LEDs and plant growth.
