The aim of the study is to point out the morphology of the cut plane under the use of various technological parameters, like feed rate of machining and abrasive mass flow at the constant cut pressure. For the track morphology monitoring after the abrasive water jet application, scanning electron microscope was used. For the identification of observed particles stabbed in the cut track, chemical composition EDX analysis was used.

In the introduction of the article, the uniqueness of the created bed design of the machine tool based on the mixture of polymer concrete is emphasized through general knowledge. Subsequently, the paper determines the properties of the polymer concrete mixture, which forms the basic material of the machine tool bed, describes the design of the CAD solution and the complex strength analysis at the determined load of 950 N with the subsequent interpretation of the results. Within the stress analysis, the Von Mises combined voltage is in the range of 0.2 0.4 MPa, thus meeting the required values of the formed material. In order to ensure the complexity of the evaluation of the proposed design solution, the resul...

Its effect on humans is significant - it affects not only their visual performance or well-being but also other extra-visual functions of the body, which affect the quality of their life. Lack of light causes various health problems of physiological or psychological dimensions caused by visual discomfort at the workplace. The presented article describes the possibilities of assessing the visual well-being of the workplace by implementing digital ergonomic tools during the flexible screening of lighting. The introductory part of the article is focused on a theoretical description of the issues in the field and then the tools of digital ergonomics are introduced, through which the experiment is carried out. The main part of the article provides an overview of the achieved results and describes the conclusions based on the analysis. Regarding the achieved results, at the end of the article, there is a description of the possibilities of ens...

The specimens were cut through the application of four flows of different abrasive mass: 150, 200, 250, and 300 g·min−1, respectively, and under different traverse speeds required to achieve the (expected) quality level Q1–Q5 (according to the SN 214001: 2010 standard). The output quality of Q1–Q5 was set in the CNC cutting programs and the real traverse speed values were calculated by machine control system according to change in the flow of the abrasive mass. The quality of surface topography was assessed using a tester (contact roughness) and an Inspectis digital zoom microscope. The results of topography–surface roughness parameters Ra presented here are compared with the values normalized for individual samples sets. The applied technology, i.e., the AWJ, eliminated the problem of tool wear and adhesion of the thermoplastic matrix to ...

The material for the production samples from the composite material was carbon fabrics KORDCARBON 200g/m2 – Twill weave. KORDCARBON 160g/m2 – Plain weave reinforced with epoxy resin Letoxid PR220+hardener EM315. The carbon composite for the test was prepared by Hand lay-up technology and Vacuum Bag molding method. Orientation to the layer laying direction of the individual samples in the test composite material influences the mechanical properties of the carbon fiber composite material produced by Hand lay-up technology and VMB- Vacuum molding bag method.

Damascus steel is steel used for blades or knives – similar to the past (Damascus steel was a type of steel used for blades in the Near East – made from wootz steel – imported from India). This steel is characterized by significant patterns. The aim of the present study is to point out the laborious method of Damascus production, and to compare the mechanical properties of the initial Damascus steel layers comparison with whole reference Damascus material steel itself.

In the first part there is a brief overview of the problem., in this part is described the patent file from Escher and Lindl, which consisted in creating a second tip that aligns the roughness created by the first tip Another solution is Wiper technology, which is now widely used to ensure maximum surface quality. The second part of this article deals with experimental tests carried out on the universal lathe SU 50, the workpiece material is 100CrMn6. The first experiment compared the quality of surface, using an integrated tool for roughing (tip radius: rε = 0,8mm) and finishing (tip radius: rε = 6mm). Results of the experimental showed improvement in quality of machined surface, but in higher feed rate the quality gradually increased. In the second experiment, the integrate...

The impact of genesis technological processes applied classical and progressive processes on the material properties in the process of producing parts or products was examined. Further were allocated surface quality also after application of surface changing, need for change aspects of quality coated metal surfaces with respect to the previous processes used namely classic and progressive. Results of experiments were focused on concrete selected materials, surface treatment processes, appropriate aspects setting and selection for quality evaluation of coated metal surfaces obtained by traditional and progressive techniques.

The used material for the electric guitar construction was carbon composite material offset by standardly used components. The carbon composite was chosen because of its excellent properties suitable for guitar construction. Described and used technologies were Manual Wet Lamination Technology and Vacuum Bag Molding (VBM) technology, and both are affordable and uncomplicated methods.

This DMLS technology is used in many branches of industry and medicine, especially in piece production, small series, and prototypes. The portfolio of used metal powder materials includes aluminum alloys, austenitic steels, maraging steels, special alloys of nickel and titanium. The properties of these products are very often improved by further heat treatment after printing, such as a hardening process, by which microstructure and hardness can be increased. Heat treatment processes of metal AM components are already described, but experiments focused on optimization of these processes are still missing. In the article, the maraging steel samples printed by the DMLS method are subjected to testing after hardening processes, which differ by reducing the maintaining time at a defined temperature, recommended by the ...
