Thus, time series data was used to determine the relationship between the variables over the period of 48 months i.e. from September 2013 to August 2017. The study employed a Robust Least Square (RLS) technique to estimate the variables under investigation. The findings revealed that the Treasury Single Account has a positive and statistically significant impact on bank liquidity. Equally, the interest rate has a positive and statistically significant impact on bank liquidity. Consequent upon the major findings, government, banks and members of the business community should be further educated on the positivity and efficacy of the Treasury Single Account in controlling public looting, fraud and other forms of corruptions and alternatively boosting public fund which will automatically reduce public debt.

The result of this study indicates that economic growth and access to safe drinking water exert positive and statistically significant impact on life expectancy at birth. Consequently, upon the findings of this study, a number of recommendations are given which include: the need for the governments to intensify its existing policies in order to maintain inclusive economic growth that would increase employment generation and reduce poverty for better life expectancy. Moreover, there is also need for governments, Nongovernmental organizations, international development partners and philanthropists to intervene in improving access to safe and portable drinking water in both rural and urban areas through construction of borehol...

The former takes care of both long-run and short-run dynamic effects of judicial corruption and financial development as it affects economic growth while the latter captures the flow of causality among the variables. Therefore, the ARDL Bound test result reveals cointegration implying a long-run relationship among judicial corruption, financial development and economic growth. The short-run result shows that judicial corruption is negatively and significantly related to economic growth while ni the long-run, a positive but insignificant relationship exists. It also reveals that rule of law is positively and significantly related to economic growth in the short-run. However, the results of the Granger-causality test show that there is unidirectiona...

As such, it closely corresponds to the broader disagreement existing in other areas of social life between the constitutional, legal, and normative mores inherited from the colonial government and real behavior patterns. The main issues that divide wage earners, on the one hand, from employers and government, on the other, have an existence far alienated from the recognized system of industrial relations, while the unions, the employers, and the government continue to give formal adherence to the system. As a response to the need to resolve issues between employers and their workers speedily, the Industrial Arbitration Panel [IAP] was established in 1976. The Act which was established vested the Panel with jurisdiction to hear and determine trade disputes between workers and employers, includin...

As has been seen, during these forty years, Nigeria had experienced a great deal of political and societal unrest, and by any standards the history of the ASUU has been an eventful one. The formation of ASUU came at a time when the oil boom in Nigeria was beginning to decline and when the country was faced with the consequences of the failure of its rulers to utilize oil wealth to support production and a credible welfare system. Military dictatorship had become institutionalized and had eroded many fundamental freedoms in the society. ASUU‟s establishment in 1978 was mainly driven by the need to address the deterioration of education in the country especially under the military rule but the timing of the formation of the union is also indicative of the fact that it emerged into what was already a highly politicized environment. The paper is a review and an opinion based w...
