It is not a difficult project and it can be completed using simple woodworking skills. All metal and rubber parts are standard parts, which you should be able to find in a common hardware store. The investigation accounts for and solves the Norwegian controversy surrounding Trygve Hoff’s use of the words “Dag” and “Dal”. The solution is brought about via an in depth study of the source material, which makes it possible to establish an authoritative version of the hymn. The article also brings to light hitherto unnoticed discrepancies between different versions of the hymn and pass judgement on the value of these discrepancies in the light of the authoritative version.

Brief hagiographical note: According to legend, Saint Margaret the Virgin was martyred at Antioch. Her martyrdom is traditionally assiciated with the persecution of Christians under Diocletian and Maximian (AD 305-313). She is often represented with a cross and a dragon. She was a much celebrated saint during the middle ages. When the black plague raged across Europe, she was one of the fourteen holy helpers and she was among the saints, who spoke to Jean d'Arc. She is a patron saint of women in general and is traditionally asked to pray for women in childbirth and for protection against barrenness and loss of milk.
