The result of the study reveals that product quality improvement is one of the important products related marketing strategies in the doors and windows market of Nepal and addition of new features. The study also reveals that advertisements and exhibitions/meets are two important promotional strategies influencing the consumers in their purchase. This study followed a judgmental sampling technique. The study shows that there is enough evidence to indicate that the brand preference is dependent on market segment in un-plasticized poly vinyl chloride windows in Kathmandu Valley market. Upon the analysis of the product delivery report of the past five years the market seems to be growing at an average rate of 25% annually. It is a cheap and ecofriendly means of power generation. Solar power is converted into electrical energy using photovoltaic cells. This harnessed electrical energy can be used to charge battery of EV. The objective of this project is to convert IC trike into electric vehicle and then assisted by using solar energy so that the range of the vehicle can be increased. This project involved the performance testing of an electric vehicle along with comparison with solar assisted. The vehicle we used is a single seated IC trike with skeleton structure generally used for racing purposes. The aim was to implement our idea on an IC trike and afterwards with help of result obtained to extend our future work on building a real time solar assisted electric vehicle. Biomass is by far the most important primary energy source in Nepal. Heavy dependence on traditio... more Biomass is by far the most important primary energy source in Nepal. Heavy dependence on traditional source and waste management resulting from agricultural waste is one of the major problem in our country. Briquetting from agricultural waste can be an option for resource management. This study was undertaken to investigate the physical and combustion properties of briquettes produced from dried banana tree waste (leaves + pseudostem). Altogether four types of briquettes were produced, two from uncharred biomass using screw extruder and hydraulic jack briquetting machine and other two briquettes were produced from charred biomass/charcoal using screw extruder and beehive briquetting machine. For uncharred briquette, the density of screw extruder briquette (1.06 g/cm3) was higher than hydraulic briquette (0.33 g/cm3). For charred briquette, the density was higher (0.72 g/cm3) for screw extruder than beehive briquette (0.44 g/cm3). The Moisture content of briquettes varied from 7.23% ...
A great deal of work is put into decreasing the fuel consumption of automotive vehicles, which ma... more A great deal of work is put into decreasing the fuel consumption of automotive vehicles, which may be accomplished by reducing the bulk of the vehicles. One component that may be explored is the leaf spring, which is extensively utilized in many sorts of cars, including electric ones. For the leaf spring, four distinct materials are considered: standard steel, Epoxy/E-Glass UD composite, Epoxy/E-Glass Wet composite, and Epoxy/S-Glass UD composite. The FEA study executed with the help of the ANSYS finite element code. Firstly, the 3-D model of the leaf spring with different thickness varying from 15mm to 65mm is designed using SolidWorks software which is then imported to the ANSYS software for the static analysis. Along with this, the finite element analysis under full load on 3-D composite multi leaf spring model is executed using ANSYS 2020 R1 by taking three different materials and then the result for the different static behaviour of the leaf spring are compared for all the mate...
