As the Ministry of Education and Culture program, distance learning has become applied in Indonesia, especially with this pandemic COVID-19. The learning model used in the course will affect student understanding in this situation, especially for an experimental study that aims to enhance student skills in the laboratory. The virtual laboratory practice is an additional learning model used in Environmental Chemistry Laboratory Course. Before, the Environmental Laboratory Course used only video to deliver learning materials. This research is experimental research that aims to evaluate the additional virtual laboratory practice's impact on student grades compared to the previous method. The research result was obtained by comparing the practical course's assessment results in 2019/2020 to 2020/2021. Berdasarkan pengukuran parameter BOD dan COD seluruhnya berada diatas BMA yang ditetapkan menurut Pergub DIY No.20 Tahun 2008 Kelas II. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 9 segmen melewati Sleman, Jogja, dan Bantul. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis besaran daya tampung beban pencemar berdasarkan parameter BOD dan COD Sungai Winongo menggunakan pemodelan Qual2Kw. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Qual2Kw efektif untuk menentukan daya tampung beban pencemar pada sungai. Qual2Kw bekerja menggunakan data kualitas air, hidrolik, dan klimatologis. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan trial dan error pada sumber pencemar agar sesuai dengan kondisi eksisting. Pada penelitian ini validasi dilakukan dengan metode RPD dengan hasil parameter BOD adalah 12% dan COD 6%, dengan ketentuan model diterima <25%. Yogyakarta that included in the category of contaminated. the research aims to learn on the effect variation of cloud cover, wind speed, and water temperature on BOD and DO concentrate in order to choose water quality management strategy at Winongo river. This research conducting a simulation with variating the cloud cover variables (0%, 69%, and 88%), wind velocity (0 m/second, 0,211 m/second and 1,22 m/second), and so the water temperature air (24,2°C, 28,14°C, and 30,6°C). The modeling result shows that cloud cover variables don’t affect the DO-BOD concentrate at Winongo river (sig = 0). While the wind velocity variables only have a small effect on the changed of DO and BOD at Winongo river (sig > 0,05). And for water temperature variables had the significant effect on the concentration changed of DO (sig < 0,05) and have a small effect on the changed of BOD at Winongo river (sig > 0,05). Each administrative region provides input of waste with various contents and affects the capacity of the pollution load with the study area along ± 21 km. The study was conducted at the point of Ngentak, Gondolayu, Sayidan, Keparakan, Tungkak, Ngoto and Wonokromo. The study area is divided into 6 segments for water sampling. In the study conducted with 4 scenario simulations based on existing conditions, prediction of population in the next 5 years, conformity of class I quality standards without pollutant burden and trial error.
