The study aimed at exploring the determinants that influenced teacher’s readiness to implement el... more The study aimed at exploring the determinants that influenced teacher’s readiness to implement electronic learning in a public university in Iraq. These determinants were classified into three categories including (teacher personality, institutional factors, and situational factors). A questionnaire was distributed to (200) lecturers who constituted the sample of the study at the faculties of the University of Fallujah in Iraq. Based on the hypotheses, the study revealed that there isn’t a statistically significant positive effect of teacher’s personality on their readiness to implement e-learning. As well, the study indicated that there isn’t a statistically significant positive effect of institutional determinants on teacher’s readiness to execute e-learning. Finally, the study concluded that there isn’t a statistically significant positive effect of situational determinants on instructor’s readiness to apply e-learning.

Customer relationship marketing (CRM) and total quality management (TQM) share a common principle... more Customer relationship marketing (CRM) and total quality management (TQM) share a common principle that has become particularly important for financial institutions following the 2008 financial crisis: creating customer value to generate customer loyalty. The present study analyzes the relative influence and development levels of the component elements of TQM models on CRM strategies to improve financial institution customer’s loyalty; an issue that has special relevance in a situation of economic crisis. Data gathered by means of a survey sent out to 53 Spanish banks and savings banks shows that, while all TQM components are considered necessary in generating customer loyalty, “customer and market orientation of all business agents and activities” is seen as especially important. The results also showed that there is insufficient development in establishing “human resource management policies,” “process management geared toward continuous improvement,” and on “establishing a system to evaluate results using wide-ranging indicators.”

El emprendimiento con innovación permite a las empresas nacientes satisfacer una necesidad de mer... more El emprendimiento con innovación permite a las empresas nacientes satisfacer una necesidad de mercado en cuanto a insertar productos y servicios regionales a un mercado más global, siendo las Empresas Nacidas Globales una nueva perspectiva de emprendimiento e innovación. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar una revisión de literatura, donde se evidencie la correlación entre las Born Globals y la Innovación empresarial. Se realizó como metodología una búsqueda de términos en Googlescholar, bases de datos académicas Scielo, Scopus y Redalyc, con enfoque cualitativo y correlacional. Los resultados obtenidos datan desde los inicios de los años 90 con los inicios del término Nacidas Globales hasta el auge de la creación de este tipo de emprendimientos en el 2020.

The uncertainty the financial derivatives are subject to points to the importance of having valua... more The uncertainty the financial derivatives are subject to points to the importance of having valuation models that are as accurate and parsimonious as possible. Given the myriad of available models, an exploratory validation criterion is necessary to aid the analyst decisionmaking process. We use a canonical oil future valuation model, namely, the Gibson-Schwartz Model (1990). The work implements it to validate its parameter estimates in order to explore its accuracy. To do this we develop a case-based validation procedure using a STATA code. This work concludes that the model is satisfactory given its parsimonious nature, but there is room for improvement in considering some contesting models.

Esto es debido a que los cambios, la incorporación de tecnologías y los nuevos procesos dentro de las organizaciones hacen que las tareas sean cada vez más complejas y en muchas ocasiones no es posible realizar una resolución individual de las mismas. Por todo esto, en la mayoría de las organizaciones se pretende crear una cultura de colaboración, como la mejor estrategia para la resolución de problemas. Sin embargo, la educación que debería promover la cooperación y el trabajo en equipo, actualmente todavía promueve la competitividad. En base a todo esto, se ha desarrollado una experiencia de trabajo en equipo en la asignatura de Dirección de Producción y Operaciones y el presente trabajo presenta los resultados de la misma.

Collaborative work in emerging countries societies is crucial to achieving economic growth in a s... more Collaborative work in emerging countries societies is crucial to achieving economic growth in a sustainable way and generate prosperity more equitably. Role played by universities in this area is critical to generate initiatives of projects that can be driven together with companies in the region where they are located. This requires an adequate interaction and understanding between the parties for the creation of shared value and use of social innovation as drivers of change. This paper describes the importance of seven key concepts to boost initiatives to create shared value: Systems Thinking, Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Creativity, Adaptation, Negotiation, and Impact measurement. The methodology used is the literature review and the result is presented in a visual model that seeks to convey the relationships between concepts and effects of positive reinforcement.

A través de una encuesta realizada a 222 empresas pertenecientes a las industrias de biotecnología y telecomunicaciones se comprueban todas las hipótesis planteadas, destacando el papel mediador que ejerce la transferencia de conocimiento. Especificamente se pretende conocer los efectos que ejerce la inteligencia de mercados en las interrelaciones entre las distancias de mercados (domestico vs extranjeros) percibidas por los responsables de exportacion, las decisiones estrategicas de marketing mix (estandarizacion vs adaptacion) y el resultado exportador (crecimiento de las ventas exteriores y satisfaccion directiva).
