This paper describes a Virtual Reality (VR) based system for automating data collection and surve... more This paper describes a Virtual Reality (VR) based system for automating data collection and surveying in a retail store using mobile robots. The manpower cost for surveying and monitoring the shelves in retail stores are high, because of which these activities are not repeated frequently causing reduced customer satisfaction and loss of revenue. Further, the accuracy of data collected may be improved by avoiding human related factors. We use a mobile robot platform with on-board cameras to monitor the shelves either autonomously or through tele-operation. A remote operator can control the robot from a console which shows a 3D of view of the store as well as, capture real images and videos of the store. The robot is designed to facilitate automatic detection of Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations. Liposomes have been established as a promising novel drug delivery vehicle in several different b... more Liposomes have been established as a promising novel drug delivery vehicle in several different basic sciences. Liposomes are microscopic spheres with an aqueous core surrounded by one or more outer shells consisting of lipids arranged in a bilayer configuration. Liposomes are acceptable superior carriers having ability to encapsulate hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs and protect them from degradation. It also has affinity to keratin of horny layer of skin and can penetrate deeper into skin and hence give better absorption. Liposomes may act as a solublizing matrix for poorly soluble drugs and penetration enhancer when applied on the skin as well as local depot at the same time diminishing the side effects of these drugs. Topical liposome formulations could be more effective and less toxic than conventional formulations. A series of N′ -(substituted benzylidene)-2-(benzo [d]oxazol-3(2 H )-yl)acetohydrazide derivative... more A series of N′ -(substituted benzylidene)-2-(benzo [d]oxazol-3(2 H )-yl)acetohydrazide derivatives was synthesized and evaluated for its in vitro antimicrobial and anticancer activities. Antimicrobial activity results revealed that compound 12 was found to be the most potent antimicrobial agent . Results of anticancer study indicated that the synthesized compounds exhibited average anticancer potential. Compound 7 ( IC 50 = 3.12 μM) and compound 16 ( IC 50 = 2.88 μM) were found to be most potent against breast cancer (MCF7) cell lines. In conclusion compound 12 and 16 have the potential to be selected as lead compound for the developing of novel antimicrobial and anticancer agents respectively.
